Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, there was no wait at the door. We ordered 3 different burgers, the miso, beef brisket and black bear. I enjoyed the black bear the most. In general burgers were quite dry, not very generous with the onions. Very disappointed following all the good reviews. Definitely better burger places out there. Bill was also meant to come with complementary ice cream but was told it was not available.

For the number 1 rated UK burger, everything was perfect. From the drinks to the staff to the music and of course to the food it was all perfect, I've tried Gordon Ramsay Street burger. I'm not joking, this one is better! It was very close but black bear burger is better. You must go at least once. I've now gone twice, worth it.

Visited Black Bear Burger and really enjoyed the experience. The beef brisket burger was absolutely delicious—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely a standout and my personal favorite. The place can get very busy in the evenings, especially on weekends, so expect a wait. The staff were friendly and managed the crowd well, which was appreciated. One thing to note: it felt a bit hot and stuffy inside, especially during summer. Some better ventilation or cooling would make the experience more comfortable. Still, for the quality of food, it’s well worth a visit—a great spot for burger lovers!

I went on a very quiet Tuesday at around six. I was the only person in the restaurant. I ordered the 2025 burger of the year with fries and a beer. The beer was served along with a cold glass which was a nice touch. I found the fries were a bit over salted but otherwise they would have been alright nothing particularly special though. The burger was very good but is it the best burger I've had? probably not but it was enjoyable. Overall I spent over thirty pounds for the meal which was a bit expensive but that's pretty typical nowadays. Oh, one issue to be aware of is that the restaurant does not have its own toilets so you have to go down the street to use a public toilet, I found that very strange.

Dark Rum Punch cocktail is a winner. To start with we had the Buttermilk fried chicken wings with buffalo and blue cheese sauce and the brisket spring rolls, fried wonton with 12hr beer braised brisket smoked bacon and cheese with pickles garlic mayo and fresh chillies. Both were Excellent. For mains we both went for the Brisket burger dry aged beef, cheese, 12hr beer braised brisket, pink pickled onions and garlic mayo. I did add a 2nd dry aged beef patty to mine as I'm a big eater. The burgers were messy but Amazing. We should have only ordered one portion of fries between us as it was a lot of eating. The free miniature ice cream cones to finish are a really nice touch. Staff were helpful and friendly. If your in the area its well worth going.

Came here yesterday evening for dinner after seeing great things online about it and wasn’t disappointed. We both ordered the ‘Black Bear’ burger which was incredibly nice tasting. The beef was juicy and flavoursome and the whole burger was put together so well. I ordered the brisket spring rolls for my side which were quite quirky! Very rich in flavour, by the end of the burger I struggled to finish them but I did. My partner ordered the chips which were done really well too. I had some fresh pickles with my spring rolls and we both put them into our burger too which made it just that bit better. The complimentary ice cream with the bill was a sweet touch! Only downsides is it’s a very small restaurant so there’s no space to really put your coat/belongings other than the benches, or the floor if people are sitting by you. And they didn’t have a toilet. So there’s nowhere to wash your hands before you eat, unless you wanna use the public toilets outside. Which are nasty haha.

Alright hear me now, after the long wait I finally made my appearance at the hyped black bear burger, said to have the BEST burgers in London. The last time I heard a restaurant had the best something in London, I was unfortunately disappointed. Nonetheless, I wished this time there would be a glimmer of hope and that it would be different. The service was amazing; a really friendly vibe to the place which took the culinary experience to another level. It was nice and cool in the restaurant, with plenty of seating for a hot summers day. They had a very efficient payment system which made it very easy to leave whenever you wanted which was good. They even blessed us with free ice cream at the end. In my opinion, I can’t honestly say I had the best burger in London—though in all fairness it’s going to take something really special for me to even consider calling anything the best in London. They had a very efficient payment system which made it very easy to pay and then leave when you want which was good. They even blessed us with free ice cream at the end. The whole meal came up to £27. Fries These skin-on fries were pretty decent; good potato content and fluffy, too. They were as crispy as I expected but were definitely lacking some salt. There was a Five Guys-ness to them though not to the same level. Overall, they didn’t feel like an inconvenience to eat which is definitely a positive. 6.5/10 Chicken nuggets The highly praised nuggets were something I believed to be quite unique—especially when it comes to a restaurant like this—and the way they were made was quite different in itself. They were very well seasoned, the coating was crispy, and the chicken breast was cooked really well. The nuggets were accompanied with their blue cheese and buffalo sauce, which I wasn’t really a fan of. For a total of £7 they do give you a considerable amount of them—especially given that they’re only a side. I was a bit unsure about the seasoning of the nuggets, but ultimately, I enjoyed them. 6.7/10 Miso bacon burger It’s time for the main event: the burger. Now although the Miso bacon burger wasn’t their signature one, I had read the description and was more intrigued to try it. It was £12 for a single burger, but if you have the money for it I would advise you to double up. The patty was incredibly juicy, the sauce inside was very nice, and the onions were a great touch. The seeded bun was a good move for the sturdiness of it all, especially in the top one. The bottom bun, however, wasn’t a match for the miso sauce; it left it slightly soggy—though that wasn’t enough to detract from the positives of the burger. I believe it could have been improved with some fresh iceberg lettuce, but I did enjoy it. 7.4/10 Overall culinary experience: 8/10 For more food reviews check my insta: sjtalks_

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff. Went in at around 4:30pm on a Thursday and was a bit apprehensive to go in as there was no-one eating inside. Having seen the menu and the decent reviews online, we gave it a go and in the end, it was no surprise the quality of the food when it arrived at our table. We had several items from the menu we expected to see from a burger restaurant such as loaded fries, buffalo wings and of course a burger, but was pleasantly surprised by the brisket spring rolls. The brisket is a key winner for the menu here and i can see why it's a part of both the loaded fries and the brisket burger we had. Pure, beefy flavour that elevated the dishes it came with. Saying that; I ate way too much before a gig at Brixton academy and just wanted to either sleep or go back for seconds! I'll definitely be back!

I left black burger as a very happy customer who's belly was very fully And I can definitely say I'm going back again I liked the service I received and the food was really good also. The burger was cooked really well and the fries too as it's my first time trying it I had to double up on the burger. If your feeling to have some naughty food I would highly recommend trying this place out. The rum punch drink was really nice also just would have been nicer if they came in bigger glasses
