We came here for dinner and were pleasantly impressed with the service, food and variety of drinks this restaurant offers. I can now finally said I had the best curry I ever tasted in my life - from plating, explosion of flavours and portioning, this place ticks all the boxes. Value for money, and clearly the best indian restaurant I have ever been to. Will be back again soon thanks to the service we have received today - we got there at 10pm and the chap serving us was brilliant!

I have no idea at all how this restaurant has 4.8 ratings. We ordered medhu vada, masala dosa, and plain lassi here. The medhu vada and the coconut chutney weren't fresh (vada wasn't crispy). It was the preprepared vada that you get in Indian stores, which was just heated in the microwave. Masala dosa was okayish but again served with mostly unfresh and frozen chutneys. Only the sambar was fresh. It was a total disappointment and a waste of our time and money. Before you decide you eat here based on the reviews and the deceiving pictures of their dishes, please read the reviews or order one dish at a time that you can experience the taste and quality of the food instead of placing the whole order in one go.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Great Indian Kitchen in Brixton and I have to say, I was blown away by the incredible food and outstanding customer service! The meen pollichath and appam were absolutely delicious, and the pappadam and chutneys served as a starter were a perfect way to start the meal. The chutneys in particular were a standout - bursting with flavor and truly amazing taste. The staff, especially Chef Basith and Qalib, were extremely friendly and attentive throughout my visit, making my experience truly unforgettable. I also found the restaurant to be very cost-friendly and definitely worth every penny. If you're looking for authentic Kerala or Southeast Asian cuisine in central London, then the Great Indian Kitchen is a must-try! I highly recommend the meen pollichath and pothichor, and of course, the pappadam and chutneys. I even made a small request for the restaurant to consider opening branches in Eastham and Luton! Overall, my visit to the Great Indian Kitchen was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to come back for more. Thank you to the restaurant and the entire team for making my day wonderful! Best wishes and keep up the great work!"

Second time dining here with quite a large group of friends. I absolutely love dosas and the ones they serve here really hit the spot.. They have a great variety of sides and curries are all very tasty and of reasonable portions. You can also ask for extra or less spice with your orders. Love the friendliness of the owner and all the other staff too. Would recommend and definitely visit again :)

Wonderful food! I'm now addicted to the curry & paratha baked in a banana leaf. Really, everything is delicious! And the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Joseph is a charming & excellent host :)
