I’m a sucker for a good breakfast roll—but this one? Totally different, in the best way possible. Savva’s Café came highly recommended by a Cypriot friend, and she wasn’t exaggerating—I absolutely loved it. If you’re after authentic Cypriot ingredients served with heart (and without the usual Hackney hipster crowd), do yourself a favour and check this place out.

Absolutely without a doubt one of the most amazing places to eat in North London! We come here every week, and every visit is just as good as the last. Marianna and Chrissie have done an incredible job — they’ve completely transformed this place into the best Greek sandwich shop in North London and whole of London! It's like being in Cyprus with amazing Greeks tunes always on. The food is simply outstanding — fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. Every bite tastes like it’s been made with real care and love. The ingredients are top quality, portions are generous, and everything is cooked to perfection. You can tell they take pride in what they do. All freshly made. The service is just as impressive — warm, friendly, and welcoming every single time. Marianna and Chrissie always make you feel like part of the family. It’s that perfect mix of amazing food and genuine hospitality that keeps us coming back. If you can finish two sandwiches here, you deserve a medal — they’re that big and that good! Hands down, one of our favourite spots anywhere in London. -

I really liked the sandwich at Savvas. Very good portion size. Very tasty and also good price. Would totally recommend. Also like the decorations and the Greek music. The sandwich was so tasty and good size that someone on the tube asked me where I got the sandwich from as they also wanted to go there!

Lovely little stop for authentic Cypriot simple food. We split a sandwich and spanakopita. Owner's father made mahalepi, which I did not see anywhere else except Cyprus. Proprietor was wonderful. Prices were more than fair. Unfortunately, I started eating before taking pictures of the food.

Full of character and flavors, owner operators bringing you top notch service with excellent food. Enjoy some of England's best sandwiches and always served with a smile. Love having my authentic Greek coffee to wash it down. Quickly made this my go-to spot while visiting London Southgate area. Would highly recommend.

The best sandwich around, huge portion as well, proper Cypriot products used. Cant find a better sandwich elsewhere. Highly recommend this place. These sandwiches are better than ones I have had in Cyprus. Owner is a nice guy as well

Amazing food always fresh and tastes unreal. I've worked through his whole menu but the salt beef bagels are still my favourite!!!!!!

Contrary to a previous review. I have just demolished a salt beef Beigel . It was amazing hot fresh and tasty. Sliced thickly with mustard and tangy gerkins. The best in North London!!!

Had the "Dirty Alex". A big beast of a sandwich, like a young Nile crocodile. Contained different meats, egg and halloumi in a great sandwich bread drenched in enough sesame to choke a small mammal. The bread was toasted on the outside but with a yielding centre and each and every member of the main cast on the inside played a distinct role, from the loukaniko sausages to the egg. The sandwich is probably missing some sort of zingy sauce to elevate it to godly status, so unfortunately I can "only" call it an "excellent" sandwich. Also had some Trahana soup. slightly fermented and lemony flavours. Really unusual flavours but rather tasty. Would recommend. Massive portion though and my mistake was to try and tackle both the sandwich and the soup. I'm writing this review 4 hours later and I still feel pregnant. The two ladies working there were so lovely and friendly.

Genuine Cypriot flavas brought to Southgate and the surrounding areas by the merchant of madness Mr Alex Alexandrou. Don't fancy a sandwich, try one of Alex's super Cyprus soups, gorgeous goubes or his succulent salt beef then top it off with amongst others an original Cypriot soft drink (multiple flavours in stock). Pop in, you won't be disappointed.
