   Had Mixed shish kebab and the food was not worth the price didnt like it. Adana tasted too salty. Chicken tasted weird and tasteless. Lamb was okay.

   Better than any restaurant on Green Lanes! This is my second time at Sumak and I’m just so impressed by everything. The restaurant is really spacious and has nice ambient lighting. They have a mix of smaller and larger tables so perfect setup for a meal with a friend or a larger group. We ordered a large platter for 4 but it could honestly feed 6. They’re very generous with portions and I like that! The meat itself was succulent and the lamb chops were extremely tender. Not easy to get those right but they did and more. The wings were juicy too and the bread was warm and I enjoyed the mezes. Oh and the waiters were great too! Very attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome. I’m so glad this is a restaurant near me and I will definitely be going here often.

   I ordered the lamb chops which was advertised as coming with salad. When the lamb arrived I had 4 large chops and no salad. I was informed that the salad bowl which came with the starters was my salad! Other than that, the food was tasty, albeit far too big a portion of chops for me.

   Amazing value for lunch: £14.50 for starter of spicy turkish sausage with as much flatbread as I could eat, then a delicious main of chicken breast with rice, mixed salad and braised mixed veg (aubergines, courgettes, peppers, broccoli); ALL THAT with soft drink included in the price, and even some complementary pieces of turkish delight when i paid! Yet on a Friday lunchtime, it was largely empty. People of Crouch End, wake up! Use it or lose it!!

   Consistently good service and food. Just visited Sumak again for early Sunday dinner and was pleased to see that the quality of food and level of service was consistently great. From the greeting as you enter the door to the thank you and good bye as you leave you cannot fault this team. The staff are all very attentive, professional and pleasant. The food was as fresh and tasty as always. I highly recommend visiting Sumak if you want want an all round great dining experience. You will not be disappointed.

   Some lovely dishes but a little 'hit and miss' ... the tabbouleh was gorgeous, the bread was fresh, the picked cabbage amazing. All the cooking was very good but the ingredients lacked. The falafel looked and tasted frozen, pre-bought and stogy. Not nice... the chicken was beautifully cooked but not good quality. The meat was cheap I think. But I'm a bit of a nerd for free-range happy animals... they taste so much better. Anyway was a great meal but let down a little by corner cutting.
