Come here occasionally, not sure why the reviews are so bad, I’ve never had an issue… friendly stuff, great pizza, £5 for 2 people is a great price - much appreciated guys, keep it up!
We have a meal for a family event with 22 guests. The food was amazing the service was fantastic and I could not recommend this place enough. The owners were very accommodating and the whole package made the meal a very memorable experience.
The portions were really good. The seafood spaghetti needs a bit of herbs and spice to make it more flavoursome but I added salt and pepper and parmesan so I enjoyed it. The prawns were huge and cooked perfectly. The garlic bread needs more garlic but was nice.
It's a straightforward local place serving home cooked food. Very tasy, crispy pizza. Sure, the décor is a bit dated....but I didn't eat that.
Best Italian in the area. Also a great case study in not always taking Google reviews at face value. The place two doors down is much higher rated but will charge you twice the price for food that is half as good. Here all the bad reviews are from people complaining a delivery was late - the actual food they produce is fantastic. We'd enjoyed it a few times over Deliveroo so decided to go there in person and the service is as good as the takeaway lasagne. Decor might be a bit dated but the service more than makes up for it. Can't recommend it enough.
Placed an order for two large pizza. Arrived with the pizza tilted and squashed, cold and without the little tripod. Called them to complain about the issue and was offered to be sent a replacement. Arrived very promptly, very hot and with the tripod, delivered to us personally by the manager himself. They seem to really take customer satisfaction very seriously. Very pleased by their response.
We ordered a takeaway from this place and it will probably be the last time that we will ever order. We had to wait for an additional 20 minutes for another item that they had forgotten to deliver. The price was outrageous for the quality of the food we ordered. The pizza dough was tasteless and the pizza we received was between raw and cooked. I hope the service and quality of the products will get better over time, in which case, we will happily order again.
