   I honestly wish I had read the reviews properly before going, because it feels like nothing has changed and the same issues keep coming up. It’s so disappointing, especially when customers are clearly giving feedback and it doesn’t look like any improvements are being made. It really ruined my day because I genuinely wanted to support this local business after hearing about the challenges they’ve been having. For the price, the food was extremely underwhelming. I ordered curry goat, not curry potatoes, yet there were more potatoes than goat. At £13, this is ridiculous. The curry itself was tasteless, and the rice was dry with a small sprinkle of peas. For something so expensive, the quality just wasn’t there at all. What makes it worse is that I went out of my way to support them, but it really feels like they are not interested in improving the customer experience. When people take the time to leave reviews, the least that should happen is some effort to take it on board. Clearly no lessons have been learned here, and that’s such a shame. FYI: Being Guyanese, and with so few Guyanese restaurants around, this was extra disappointing. There was no effort in the food at all. I honestly tried to eat it, but it was so awful that I had to throw it out.

   Glad I finally made the trip to Umana Yana. Debbie was extremely welcoming and nice enough to go through the various options on the menu with us. The boneless chicken stew was tender, well seasoned and very affordable for a full plate. I'm already looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Thank you for a great introduction to Guyanese cuisine and your hospitality!

   The food was okay. We went for the boneless chicken roti. I would have loved some kind of coleslaw or something to go with the the wrap. Even if they put some grated carrots and cabbage in to give it a lift. I would definitely go again to support and maybe try the curry goat. Also the food is halal which is great.

   Very affordable and great portion sizes. Lovely vegan and gluten free options. I drove an hour to try her food out after seeing her videos on Tiktok. I was not disappointed at all. Very pleasant and lovely lady selling authentic Guyanese food, 10/10. Full of love and flavour. Everything tasted fresh and nice. I look forward to coming back here soon. My new fav roti spot! Hands down the best! You must try for yourself. Delicious!

   Delicious Guyanese food and lovely owners! The food is reasonably priced with vegetarian options available (the veggie patties are delish!). Umana Yana are both at their permanent retail site on Croxted Rd (next to Brockwell Park) and can be found at the Herne Hill Sunday Market.

   I have only ever had the patties here but they are amazing (best I have ever had), quite expensive compared to other stores but worth it, fresh/homemade, much better than what you get in most Jamaican/Jerk shops. They tend to sell out of flavours quick so go early.

   I’ve had the curry goat rotis from Umana Yana a few times and each time it is delicious . The portion size fills you up perfectly and what I love the most is the amount of goat meat you get!! Many places I’ve been too hold back on how much meat they give but at Umana Yana , they really fill the rotis well. The couple that work there too are always so lovely , kind and smiley . I really recommend this place to everyone.

   A great little family run roti shop near Brockwell park. The curries are flavourful with tender meat. One of the best examples of roti in London. Pricing is very reasonable. Definitely worth a trip to support this business.
