   Returned here October 2025 after many months to find the pub TRANSFORMED !! New upholstery, carpet, paint inside and out. Part of the Craft Union chain, and best of all they had TAYLORS LANDLORD, the finest beer in the world. Entertainment throughout the week, pool table and footy on the telly. Five Stars!!

   Always been a good local pub, with a welcoming atmosphere, but improved by the present staff. Dog friendly, good music and sport coverage. Some evenings even Elvis appears! I've never been to a pub before where after an expensive refurbishment the prices have dropped. Excellent value. Not tried the food.

   Didn't eat so didn't rate food. Lovely pub great original features and friendly staff. Reasonably priced drinks. Amazing beer garden space that is a lovely sun trap. Lots of events throughout the week and screens showing sports. Lots of places to sit.

   I recently visited the Clarence in Wallasey and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the great atmosphere in the pub. The beer selection was excellent and the staff, particularly the landlord and landlady, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I have to give a special shout-out to Trevor and Georgie for their hospitable nature. They truly made me feel at home and went out of their way to ensure that I had a great time. It's clear that they care deeply about their patrons and it really shows in the way they run their pub. Overall, I highly recommend the Clarence in Wallasey for anyone looking for a great pub with good beer, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a true gem!
