   First time here and we weren’t disappointed. It doesn’t have an alcohol licence but that keeps the cost down and there’s an off-licence next door. We really enjoyed the mixed starter for two, very moist, well flavoured and selection of 4 items each. We both had Dhansak me lamb and my husband chicken and it was the best we’d had in a long time. The Almond rice was nice change, and the garlic naan was amazing, very light and crispy, think it was the best we’d EVER tasted!! The waiter was great too, attentive and good conversation. Could do with dropping the colour changing spotlights though ;)

   Rupees Shirley is just not what it used to be since Mofiz left. Ray and Roger are nice guys who mean well, but service has dropped to an all time low. Waiting times both in restaurant and takeaways are abysmal. They need someone with proper business acumen and front of house skills, otherwise this place will go bust!

   Another Little Gem in the heart of Shirley! I am just beginning to love Indian cuisines, and this local spot didn’t fail to impress me! With the new management, the service just keeps on getting better. Food was delicious and satisfying for the tummy and very budget friendly! Plus, bring your own drink still applies! Highly recommended for a homey Indian food experience!

   Absolutely delicious food. They are under new management and the new team deliver outstanding customer service. Friendly and attentive, a great place to eat. Only giving 4 stars for atmosphere as it’s so quiet, but hopefully more people will discover this gem and it’ll begin to buzz.

   I wish was writing a great review. They delivered on time and clearly put in the effort in service. However, the food was absolutely terrible and I had to throw it away. Perhaps I ordered the wrong items. Matar paneer is not supposed to have coconut in it + spices were all wrong + it was so sweet for no reason. Paneer tikka masala is not supposed to be this sweet, and it is absolutely unnecessary as well as off-putting to add red coloring agents. Please note that it does not make food look better, but it does make it taste very bad. Also, the spices and flavour were all wrong. The terrible Tesco sauce is better than what I received. Clear sign that the chef needs a proper training or lesson which can be easily found on youtube. It would be better if you changed menu, even if it meant charging higher. Saag paneer was the only edible item, but not good. Again, it is better to get some decent training for the chef. Please take this as my constructive feedback, I wish you all the best.

   Appalling customer service No idea on time keeping and judging by the reviews appalling service as well! Customers who complain do not get refunds either. Not the way business operates.

   I regret not spotting the 3 star food and hygiene rating before we sat down and ordered. The waiter was constantly wiping at his nose with his hand and not once did he wash his hands after doing this and frequently coughing without covering his mouth. He also proceeded to fill take away containers, so good luck to whoever ordered take out from there today. I wish we had left, but our food had already arrived and it felt so awkward to leave at that point :( I certainly won't be visiting there in the future, hygiene standards are abysmal for someone who is in the profession of handling food that other people will be consuming.

   Had a mixed starter, very tasty and the main was chicken shashlik with rice and Naan all well executed. The service was brilliant attentive and very helpful. Would recommend whole heartedly.
