I ordered a chicken/salad sandwich on granary. The chicken had obviously been defrosted and had some salty flavouring on it. I did not expect a hot chicken/salad sandwich and certainly had not asked for one! I will not be returning.

I used to really like this place when it first opened. The cake was really good but last few times has been average at best, especially considering their pricing. Today visited with my two daughters and asked if they had a kids menu. I wasn’t shown one but was told the options by the young man behind the counter. Chose the pancakes as they wanted them. The kids portion was 3 half pancakes and a small amount of fruit. Didn’t have a clue at the price as wasn’t shown a menu with these options but to my shock, two kids pancakes and a cappuccino was £20. When I asked the price of the tiny pancake portion the young man behind the counter embarrassingly told me it was £8. £8!!! For one and a half pancakes…are you kidding me. You could tell by how he told me even he knew they were taking the mick. If they wondered why they were quieter than ever on a Sunday lunch it’s because their prices are extortion for the size and quality of their food. Will not be returning here anymore. Should be embarrassed by this as no where else locally will charge this for a kids portion.

Had the most delicious nachos. Very friendly service as usual. One of my favourite spots in West Wickham. Lovely garden in the summer, but too cold for December. Does amazing cake, I recommend the carrot cake.

We had the absolute best breakfast experience today at Scotts Kitchen. The service was fantastic, and they were delighted to have us Canadian visitors. Be sure to order the English Breakfast as it is filled with gorgeous flavours steeped in tradition. Thank you so much for making us feel so at home. Cheers, Spicy Jan #Canadian, eh?

The staff and atmosphere were great. Coffee was good too. We didn't eat though so no comment there. I'd recommend a visit to form your own opinion

On a positive note the cafe is furnished to a high standard and the service was good. We sat in the garden and had two coffees and a cake. My husband was tempted by the lovely display of cakes on offer but was so disappointed when he got his slither. It looked so much better than it tasted, he said it felt gritty and he didn't finish it. Definitely not worth £4.

Love, love, love Scotts kitchen. The food is great & the service is fantastic, nothing is too much to ask. This visit I tried The Stack & I loved it. Several pancakes, streaky bacon, Cumberland sausage & maple syrup. Don't just put the syrup over the pancakes, Put it on the sausage & bacon too, game changer. Previously I've tried the smashed avacado on sourdough toast with streaky bacon which was also delicious.
