Gluten Free fish, chips and mushy peas were amazing, batter was so crispy. All cooked quickly in separate fryers and gf vinegar too. Fantastic that this is available in Mold. Well done The Big Fish!!

Loved loved loved the Big Fish tonight - the chicken chunks are gluten free and to die for! The fish and chips I was told was immense as well - super food, super staff, super place. Would highly recommend.

We've been going to The Big Fish mold some years . The owner started off with brilliant fish and chips . Then he got different staff to do the frying . And im affraid definitely gone down hill ..one lady has just left . And as far as we are concerned one of the best Friars the Ower has had . The lady who's frying at the moment . Well we've had hard chips and really soggy battered fish on four occasions That's our custom they have lost.

I can’t fault the food or the service but gradually the food is getting more expensive and portions smaller. Tonight, unfortunately has done for me. A large chips in a large tray was half filled, sorry big fish but as good as your chips are im not paying it anymore…..

Honestly every time I have been the staff have been so lovely with myself and little girl. She loves getting chips before we get the bus home from mold :) the food is really fresh and nicely cooked

Lovely food and fast service. Phoned head for 2 fish and one chips, served the large portion of each when I had presumed the regular. If the customer doesn't specify, then maybe staff should check.

Very nice food, not as much as usual since the new owners took over, but still enjoyed what we had.

I wrote a very positive review on this chippy when it changed hands. It was great to have some quality fish and chips in Mold. Unfortunately it didn't last, quality dropped months after take over, fish went way smaller and thinner and the batter when thicker and sometime undercooked. I went a number of times, a dozen plus afyer things changed hoping it was a short time problem, and each time a let down. The last portion I purchased for my staff )which had become a bit of a regular treat) all went in the bin, each and everyone of us had fish that was totally inedible, the batter on one side was thicker than the very thin fish and equally stodgy and thick on the other. I did take photo and hopefully find them to add to show how truly bad the experience was. Fish also not a fresh and white as was. Only reason for 2 stars is that the chips are still OK to good. Real shame as I've now stopped going since the last waste of all portions. Shame you guys started so well!

Bought 2x fish and chips this evening. Heard lots of good reviews but was rather upset with the quality of the food. The fish was all batter and looked like it had been cooked earlier in the day. The chips were compressed in the packaging and stuck to the paper ,uwere soggy and needed micro to warm them up. The only good thing was the peas which were hot and tasty. I won’t be visiting here again. The staff were extremely friendly but I suppose they would have to be .

Reluctant to give this place even 1 star. Thought it was a great place and lovely fish and chips until they messed my order up. Not only that the food was lukewarm on opening and we were over charged due to the messed up order. The staff are lovely but the owner was nothing but a rude greedy little man offered to do a fresh order but wanted me to pay again. Really bad customer service that is. We won't be returning it's their loss. I hope they lose more customers the same way which they will. Avoid this place at all costs.
