I was unhappy that we had a table of 15 booked and that there was only one server and one bars staff for the whole restaurant. It meant service was super slow. And it meant they were under immense pressure. I was pretty annoyed that although our orders had been given prior my food still took over an hour to come. The food is good and the people are nice its just unorganised.

Booked Birthday party group. Venue was not set up when we arrived, no glasses or menu on the table, went to the bar to order drinks and told they will come to our table. We ordered Chapman drinks, very soft drink and ice heavy, could not tell of rum was added, for the price charged it was worth it. Food that was pre booked became an issue and could have been handled better. The food was tasty, I enjoyed my prawns and lamb chops were done well. As with any restaurant a front staff service is needed, you can't do service of food from kitchen and drinks in the front. If you have large bookings for food, offer more package options, that way no confusion. Music was not buzzing ,maybe not part of the restaurant ambiance. Nice set up, needs a little more focus on service delivery to a large group.

The location is a bit hard to park. The space is smaller than expected. The food was overall nice, spicy, and menu has great variety The drinks were nice but it could be a bit sweeter

Food and drinks were all gorgeous here! It’s the best grilled lamb I’ve ever had in this country. My partner and I both agreed we’d come again tomorrow when we had first bite of the lamb chops. The tunes are definitely awesome, we enjoyed it so much! Highly recommended!

The ambience was great, while the food was freshly prepared and delicious. The portions were reasonable. The waiters were helpful and friendly. Pina Colada, I will recommend having. I hope the standard will not decline

The food was amazing, drinks were very well made and service was 5* . I would definitely visit again and looking forward to try more of the menu. If you don’t try it out your missing out

Everything was great. Visited yesterday evening and they were patient with us (friends train was delayed). The food was delicious and portions were reasonable - especially recommend the fish, suya and jollof. The service from the two gentlemen that evening was friendly and attentive. Thank you!

This is a Afro-fusion restaurant, with popular Nigerian and West African dishes. The restaurant has a great ambience and is an intimate setting (so do book ahead) with inspired pictures/images on the walls which can serve as a great background for photos. The customer service was good too Now onto the food! I had the asun and garlic butter sautéed prawns for starters. The asun was spicy, very tender and perfectly cut into small bite size chunks. The prawns were cooked well and a great size. But I do with the flavours were more marinated into the prawns I think a lot of the flavours didn’t pass the shell into the prawns. Unfortunately the tozo suya was not available on this occasion, which would have been my preferred choice. For my main I had the grilled lamb chops, with gravy, coleslaw and jollof rice. Again this was a good size. The potion sizes in general at Papis grill are great value for money. Lamb was tender and full of flavour, the jollof was made with basmati rice which I prefer and and smokey like party jollof. For drinks I had the Chapman! It was a good size and very nice. Can’t go wrong with that I definitely recommend and will be back soon to try other dishes!

Service was pleasant but slow; Saturday night service. Restaurant is fairly new so may still be understaffed. Food was ordered promptly but it took over an hour to eat. Customers sitting next to us we’re getting agitated. Luckily the atmosphere of the restaurant was chilled and pleasant. We were a walk in and could only get a table outside initially which was okay as it was a warm night; as soon as a table was free inside, we were asked if we wanted to go inside. When the food did come out it was hot so you know the food is being cooked fresh. The cocktails were strong in alcohol; as it should be at £10 per glass. Overall a nice experience, would love to try again when service picks up.
