Do not go there if you dont want your and your friends' mood completely ruined, RUDE waitress and being ambushed with 2 hours limit with no prior notice! I had a special request for 5 people, and received a direct e-mail from the restaurant saying it is booked, but no time limits. On arrival, the waitress Alba was very nice, she saw all the gift bags that I prepared for the each guest and was curious, all started nice. We even joked how it is hard to get people together. I said upfront that one guest will be late. There were at least 2 other big parties at the restaurant at a time. Then she said that table is only for 2 hours. I was taken aback and a bit of a shock. 2 girls were a bit late, we ordered food. Her mood changed, she came twice asking with irritation if other two guests not coming, she came back and tried to take their plates away, we stopped her. She was giving us dirty looks, aggravated stares, when other two came and ordered food, she took away my and otger guest plates and cutlery, despite we were still eating and food was on a table! She would not bring the water. So we sit there, half hungry, with no service but angry waitress, with no drinks, NO PLATES OR EVEN CUTLERY to eat tapas to leave quicker..... Unbelievable. And then she comes, angry and quite aggressive: "I have told you, you only have two hours!". I said, excuse me but you did not warn me, so noone knew, and people have kids and family, life happens. She started to argue with me, then she said its her manager and she will go now and tell him (to kick us out I guess). So she stormed all fuming, and we expected a manager to have a "word" with us as if were antisocial. After a while, she came back, with the very disappointed face, defeated. So assumed her manager said they cannot legally kick paying customers out. This is 15 minutes after 2 hours. We already were eating quickly, literally shoving food in the faces of 2 girls who were late. Other 2 could not help them to eat quicker as she took our cutlery away. I decided to speak with the manager, who said its not his rules but the management above him, any table before 7 has 2 hours. Ok, shall I go ask two other tables if they were told to sod off in 2 hours as well? No, he said, we make our own rules. So, it was only our table to be kicked. Then he said he is "sorry you felt this way", I said he needs to be sorry for the way your staff acts, that its not acceptable being rude and aggressive. She could of at least be civil and apologetic, but she behaved like its her house and we are unwanted guests that she needs to kick out. Then he said that we should be lucky as other places set limit of 1.5 hours (but they warn at time of booking). I showed him email from their restaurant, to prove to him that there was no warning. My friend who is also a restaurant manager tried to speak with him, but he kept arguing. So no real apology there either. We were not overstaying for hours, just about several minutes. Two other parties were not pestered, forced to leave and still were enjoying their dinner AFTER we left. Absolutely ruined dinner, never in my life I had my cutlery and plate taken away so that we know how unwelcome we are. Left restaurant hungry, thirsty and very upset. Do not recommend to anyone to go there, you are not valued as customer and might be not welcome there. There is a risk.

I left El Molino Restaurant feeling REALLY DISAPPOINTED and what upset me most is that our friend who organised the whole evening and booked the table, brought gifts and genuinely wanted to create a lovely Christmas get together, went home feeling regretful and very upset. We were never informed at the point of booking (or in the booking confirmation we received) that the table was limited to a 2 hour slot. Based on previous visits, we had never experienced this here, so naturally we assumed it would be a normal dinner pace, especially in December when friends meet to catch up and celebrate. If we’d known there was a strict end time, we would have planned differently or made additional arrangements. Two guests arrived later due to a genuine reason and from that point the atmosphere changed. The service felt minimal and at times uncomfortable. There was pressure around timing rather than hospitality. What also confused us was that other groups around us didn’t appear to be treated the same way, which made the situation feel unfair and unclear. The food itself was ok, although did not get a change to enjoy it, as we were RUSHED :( The service and atmosphere spoiled what should have been a special evening. A simple, clear mention of the time limit at booking and a polite, consistent approach on the night, would have avoided all of this. We’d been looking forward to the evening and made special arrangements to be there. If a time limit is non-negotiable, it should be clearly stated at booking so customers can make an informed choice.

    ## Review of the Spanish Tapas Bar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at this Spanish tapas bar! The cozy ambience, courteous staff and excellent menu options . we had a wonderful time. We tried a variety of tapas and they were ALL excellent! Some of our favorites included: - *Libina del chef*: A Seabass specialty that was spot on. - *Tortilla de patatas*: Classic Spanish tortilla done perfectly. - *Alcahofas salteadas*: Sautéed artichokes that were bursting with flavor. - Chorizo al vino - Chorizo cooked in wine - wow! The wide range of tapas options let us sample a bit of everything, and everything was delicious. If you're a fan of Spanish tapas, you'll love this place!

Absolutely lovely local restaurant, probably best in Beckenham for me. Great food and service, nice vibe. Our kids who are normally pretty useless tried loads of new things and particularly loved the lamb cutlets. Will be back!
