   Been here many times and have always had a warm welcome from the owner/manager and the staff. Natasha is always so helpful and friendly. We normally have the set menu that is great value. We will be booking for Sunday Lunch next week.There are a lot of restaurants in Beckenham beginning with the letter P but none of them compare with the service and food at Papilios !

   I visited this establishment that I’ve been wanting to try out for quite some time. They were the only restaurant I could find in Beckenham that sold a Tomahawk steak so I had a business lunch there with my colleague and we had Mac and cheese for starters and salt and pepper squid. Both of these were perfectly cooked very fresh and hot with excellent flavours and super presentation particularly for the squid. We treated ourselves to the 700 g Black Angus Tomahawk steak requesting a medium rare and it did not disappoint. It was cooked on the charcoal grill giving it immense flavour but was also seasoned perfectly and cooked Exactly as it should’ve been. Accompaniment of French fries which were clearly produced from fresh potatoes slightly seasoned giving an excellent experience. We had a brandy peppercorn sauce and a pecorino mushroom sauce. These were both very good. It feels like a five star experience and will definitely not disappoint. Entire bill, including service charge plus one Diet Coke and a large bottle of sparkling San Pellegrino came to just over £99 Which for the quality received was good value. There are less expensive lunchtime and dinner set menus with a two course lunch at £18.95 and a three course lunch at £23.95. The manager was helpful and friendly and both the waitresses were very attentive and professional while being friendly at the same time . I highly recommend this establishment if you want good quality fresh tasty food in a comfortable in atmospheric environment.    Really wanted to love this place, the decor is lovely, the staff are really lovely and sweet, and the food looks great. However I think there is just not enough staff, they were great when you had them but it seemed like they were juggling a lot. They seemed really stretched or forgetful? When we first arrived, my mum asked to order a drink and they just took her drinks order and seemed to forget that the entire rest of the table also might want to order drinks. My parents ordered a bottle of wine to go with their meal, but it never appeared, and they had to ask 3 times before it finally arrived. The steak my dad had ordered to be medium was beyond well done, dry as a bone, my burger I’d asked to be medium was also the driest burger I’ve ever had. Generally the food was… okay. I think it’s quite expensive for what you get with the quality. The atmosphere on a Saturday night is quite overwhelming, the music is really loud, and even louder when the live singer is there, I had to shout to my mum who was right next to me. A few of us at the table felt that it all felt very chaotic - we’re all in our twenties - early thirties by the way so not an old people thing! On another day I’m sure it’s very different

   A Five-Star Experience from Plate to Stage ​We recently enjoyed an outstanding evening at Papillo Beckenham, and it impressed us across the board. This was our fourth visit to the restaurant. The kitchen delivered truly great food, which was only surpassed by the generous portions—definitely bring your appetite! Every dish was clearly prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service; the entire team was exceptionally polite and attentive, with a special shout-out to Tayfun for his warm, professional, and attentive approach. To top it all off, the beautiful live music provided the perfect acoustic backdrop, truly acting as the icing on the cake for an already perfect night out.

   I don’t get all the good reviews; I’ve never had a good experience here. Decent vibe and very busy but service last night was mediocre. We only had one course and took an hour to reach us. My filet steak looked like it had been abused and who puts burrata on a menu but only serves half of one? Drinks are weak - don’t bother with the rum punch. Both tables next to us were annoyed at slow and lackadaisical service; one waitress in particular looked utterly miserable then moaned to another waitress about the customers in front of us. We then got charged for a drink we’d ordered but they’d run out of. How you don’t have non alcoholic beers in 2023 is silly.

   Came here during the week so took advantage of the weekday menu which is great value! There’s a wide selection of food and other set menus that also looked interesting. The food was delicious and the service was so friendly. The decor inside is lovely and there was a relaxed atmosphere. So many cocktails to choose from, all looked good - loved the two I went for in the end. Would definitely go back again.

   Wow this place is amazing. We came here for afternoon tea. I didn't expect much but we were thrilled as the food was fresh and delicious. We were offered extra sandwiches and the cocktails were lovely. The venue is beautiful and spacious. Will definitely come here again. I recommend.
