   We had our annual vets football curry night at my house on 2 December and had 37 folks for the meal which we ordered from Ghurkhas. We gave them the order two days before just to avoid overwhelming the kitchen. The order was perfectly prepared and on ready on time when my picked it up. The food was as always just amazing. We had such a great evening and highly recommend Ghurkhas.

   We were served by the wonderful Pavi when we visited recently. The service was exceptional, very fast and friendly. Normally servers don’t have a good knowledge of the menu and what to recommend but Pavi knew exactly what to suggest for us and our dishes were perfect. We also checked out the instagram and ended up getting the spicy prawns because they looked so good. The salmon shashlik was a standout too. Overall the whole experience was very worth the visit for value for money, yummy food and brilliant service from all the staff. Thank you Pavi!

   Went there for a dinner date with my wife on a Saturday evening. As soon as we walked in and mentioned that I had made a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table for two. Whilst we were checking the menu, our host brought over poppadoms and 3 dips which were complimentary. We needed a bit of help deciding between a paratta and roti for a side dish, and our host was very helpful with making us decide. For starters, we had crab prawn cake and lamb chilli momos. Mains were mixed sizzler special and Gurkha's Himalayan biryani with a side of paratha. We also got a bottle of sparkling water. The crab prawn cake had a very crunchy texture and although it was a bit on the bland side, the dip that came with it made it up in terms of flavour. Momos were very flavourful. All the mains were very delicious. All the meats were cooked very well and the staff were kind enough to provide some extra chillies on the side at my wife's request. We didn't manage to finish all the food we ordered and had to ask the staff to pack it up for takeaway. An interesting thing I saw on their menu is that they don't have a service charge, which is a first for us in a London restaurant. We were very pleased by the customer service, which was always very prompt and friendly at all times. Also, the two small complementary chocolates we got with the bill were a very nice touch. Definitely a 5 ⭐ review and we will be coming here again soon.

   So disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered through Deliveroo and selected gluten-free restaurants as I'm coeliac. This restaurant came up as an option and stated that it could offer gluten-free options. I ordered a few dishes that I eat regularly in other restaurants, however, the restaurant cancelled my order as they were unwilling to accommodate me and said that all of the dishes contained gluten. I eat Indian food all the time, have done for years, and never usually have any trouble at all when ordering. If cooked authentically, most Indian dishes are naturally gluten free. If this restaurant can't be bothered to accommodate those with dietary restrictions, why advertise themselves as such? Wouldn't recommend based on the rude and unhelpful service I received.

   The food is really very good, but I just found the staff to be very cold, and bordering on rude. I'm not expecting red carpet treatment, but a smile and bit of warmth isn't a lot to ask for. As a takeaway it's hard not to recommend this place, but if you're looking for a memorable night out, perhaps look elsewhere. That said, I'll probably be back, as it wasn't that awful.
