   I went there on the 28th of December 2025 for my belated birthday afternoon tea for 2. Unfortunately my friend couldn't make it as she didn't feel too great. I asked the staff member ( male) if I can take the food for my friend, but he told me no even though it's paid for. When his female colleague placed the food on the table, she informed me that it was 2 people but the desserts and stale sandwiches were for one person (see images). You can tell it was stale because the sauce ( I think it was pesto) stained the sides and the of the sandwiches. It did not taste fresh and I tried to eat some of it because I didn't have any breakfast thinking I was in for a treat. Maybe this was some one's left overs. This is a terrible and disappointing birthday experience. Hyatt afternoon tea is over rated with stale food and poor customer service. It wouldn't surprise me if this was made a few days in advance due to the Christmas period. Avoid! You are better off buying a Tesco meal deal, it's tasty and fresh.

   We had afternoon tea. The afternoon tea sandwiches were halal. We had 3 sandwiches each. Wasn’t a fan of the salmon one the rest were okay. Pastries were nice to. Teas kept getting cold and weren’t strong enough. Had to keep re ordering. Overall decor and atmosphere were very nice and stunning.

   Had a disappointing experience here. Booked it for a birthday and decided on the vegan afternoon tea as the dessert selection looked better. When ordering, we ordered a cappuccino but was brought tea instead. No one told us that coffee was unavailable and they just switched the item instead. We had to then wait over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Halfway through, we realised the desserts were completely different from the menu. The menu stated a milk chocolate and orange cheesecake, mousse, carrot cake and a milk chocolate brownie. We were given a salted caramel brownie, a cherry cake and a berry crumble (3 instead of 4 as well). No one had said anything when serving the food and when we asked we were just told that they had run out and had substituted it. If we had known this before, we would not have ordered this. The chef came out and gave us more sandwiches as an apology. However, the whole reason we ordered the set was for the dessert options. The staff did not communicate anything at all throughout the meal. The quality of the food was very poor as well. We barely touched the desserts, desserts from Costa or Lidl would have tasted better tbh. Very poor service and poor quality of food from a 5 star hotel. Definitely not worth the £125 for 3 people.

   We had a lovely anniversary dinner here today with Le Petit Chef. The concept works really well and is a great way to shorten the wait between courses. The food was cooked to perfection. Especially the beef fillet was outstanding. Our waitress was amazing and made the whole experience that much better. Very attentive and helpful, despite us having been the only guests for this session today.

   Great service, Hussain provided us with great service. Went for afternoon to celebrate a birthday, and they added a personal touch by putting up a happy birthday banner and a complimentary happy birthday confectionery.

   We came here for afternoon tea, to celebrate a special occasion. I had pre-booked to ensure the restaurant knew our diatory requirements. The staff were professional, welcoming and excellent with attention to detail. A stunning deep red, fresh floral centrepiece adorned the table, which was a truly thoughtful gesture. They also created a beautiful pink 'congratulations' platter with petite cakes. We had different types of teas including gluten free, pescetarian and meat. The ingredients were fresh, tasty and well presented. Three of us had champagne. The cost was £120 and worth every penny. l would certainly recommend the Aria to others. The ambience was also calming and very attractive.

   Amazing ambience at the Aria restaurant which opens out into the lobby of the Hyatt Regency under a glass atrium. We went for afternoon tea which was OK and did not make the mark. We felt the sandwiches were a bit underfilled and dry at the edges. 3 varieties if scones...plain fruit and chocolate chip were not light and fluffy. The pastries were good, however the lemon posset was served in a narrow small glass container without a teaspoon small enough to get into the glass or without any teaspoon! We had to use the knife to get it out onto a plate so we could eat it. Service was courteous but could do with being more present in the restaurant and attentive to customers, ( fir eg ask if everything was OK). Lack of attention to detail in the food preparation, serving and service let this five star restaurant down.

   We had lunch at Aria Restaurant many times during our stay at the Hyatt. The Hotel Lobby is stunning, atmosphere feels tranquil ,romantic decor with trees and plants, shelves with beautiful vases and a central water feature and a huge glass ceiling . The food is good and always well presented. The service is excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Perfect location for an afternoon tea
