Very nice countryside pub, very popular, great food, if going in the summer there is a large patio area at the rear of the pub for outside drinking and dining, we were seated in a cosy part of the pub. No log fire but it was nice and warm. Perfect when it was cold and damp outside. Dogs are welcome which was nice to see. Food was not the cheapest with a 7oz fillet steak being £35.00 but dining out now has certainly gone up.

Love this beautiful inn, right in the middle of the countryside. Food is delicious with attention to detail. The staff are always accommodating and polite, cannot fault it. The price of the meal is also very reasonable. Will always return and summertime you can sit in the lovely gardens sometimes with live music overlooking the amazing views. What more can I say but if you haven't been.. you really should. :)

The food at the White Bear was delightful. Situated in the middle of nowhere, this restaurant is a well run place. The Staff are polite and now what there doing. We came for the Christmas Dinner menu, and everything was good, but we needed vegetables with are dinner. Great atmosphere good food, great location. Thanks for a nice evening.

We had a wonderful summer’s afternoon sat outside at the White Bear for a Sunday roast. Delicious lamb, impressive Yorkshire’s! The owner is clearly passionate about the service they offer which is great to see. They were very busy so service was a little slow at times, but its popularity speaks to the lovely atmosphere there.

Excellent quality food and friendly service. Worth booking ahead, and not just for the Sunday roast which is already legendary. Recently completely refurbished with a fresh new look but still cosy, and still ever so homely inside. The food really was good and the service very attentive. Great options for children plus the acoustics were not bad for older people. Perfect for special family occasions. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the lights were flickering. It was not just the lights above our table but our whole section. Quite distracting.

Proper . Old fashioned country pub with good beer, nooks and crannies to sit in but plenty of space, friendly staff, a fire in the fireplace, lots of seating outside for summer - it's January at the mo & pretty bleak. We weren't eating but the food looked great. We'll definitely be back. Fantastic.

Great place for an afternoon pint, good beer and a nice ambiance. Lady at the bar was lovely, didn't try the food because there was no walk in ordering, needed a reservation overall good experience!

Visited Sunday in the hope of getting a table for 3 (including our greyhound) Unfortunately they were fully booked and we were told that its best to book a few days ahead for Sunday Lunch. But they managed to find us a table at the bar and set it up for lunch. I found The White Bear to be a superb country pub. The staff including the owner Lee and his wife Sian couldn't be more welcoming and attentive. While the other customers where very friendly and open to conversation. It did feel like you had set foot in to your local pub. In fact I would love this pub as my local. The food itself were hearty meals, very enjoyable over a good beer and glass of wine (the dog is doing dry January) and was plenty of choice including a nut roast. Over all if you are looking for a quintessential English country pub. With good food, friendly staff and patrons. Then The White Bear is by far the best choice.

This is such a love old country pub, the food looked absolutely amazing. There is a big car park so don't worry about it being out in the lanes. The staff were really friendly, it was my first time there but it will definitely not be my last.
