This is the 2nd or 3rd time using this establishment and the 2nd or 3rd time it has disappointed. The cooking oil is in need of changing and it appears that unsold chips are being refried with fresh chips (how many times who knows?) and subsequently half the chips are just about edible (if you like the taste of old oil) and the other half are rock hard and like trying to consume small stones or pebbles. I understand that its a difficult time with rising costs but cutting the bottom line at the expense of quality is not the way to prop up a business and reviews like this can't be helpful but just damaging. There is another fish and chip shop further down Main Rd and will try them next time.
The food was amazing, the cod was huge and cooked perfectly and the small chips were delicious and enough for a family so not small, tasty hot and on time and delivered with a smile which is rare these days, it’s going to be my regular from now on and the price is amazing, the chips in the photo are probably a quarter of what they delivered
After almost 2hrs of waiting and no answer when calling the shop we had to call Uber eats to cancel and get a refund.
Poor service, 10 mins late, no apology. Fish Luke warm at best, and batter stuck to bag. Wrong order, when I questioned shop, they said they didn’t have fish I wanted, so put another in, without asking!!!!! Rude staff on phone as well
Order was incorrect (had replaced pea fritters with cheese straws) when arrived and the 3 pots of curry sauce had been squashed and all sauce was in bag. Phoned and explained what had happened. Had to wait for ages for new curry sauces and replacement for pea fritters. Delivery woman asked for us to pay £5 for the food, when I opened the bag had 1 sausage, 1 pot of curry sauce and a very small portion of chips! So still didn’t get what I wanted. I spend a lot of money here. Will not be ordering from here again! Roe was burnt and chips were horrible.
We ordered fish chips and mushy peas for 2. As usual the food was good. What I don't understand is when the app that you order from asks you for a delivery time and you put 21:30 and the food turns up at 21:00 . We had only just arrived home so the food goes in the oven to keep warm until we are ready. If your going to give the option, please read it.
