Had a wonderful meal here on New Year’s Eve. Fantastic menu and food as always. Great service from Sam and the whole team. We will be back soon !

Visited Sarto Leeds recently and left very disappointed. The pasta was undercooked and overall extremely underwhelming, especially considering the £50 bill. I ordered the duck leg ragu pasta, which lacked flavour and felt poorly executed. The focaccia was alright but very plain and nothing memorable. Service-wise, the staff were overly attentive to the point of discomfort, being asked how everything was every couple of minutes felt intrusive rather than welcoming. Once would have been perfectly sufficient. The sitting is also giving sitting plan. feels like i’m back in school The atmosphere was alright, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to make up for the disappointing food. Overall, not worth the price and unlikely to return.

We eat at Sarto frequently and the food and service is always excellent. This review though is for the catering they did at our recent wedding at The Chapter Hall. The whole experience was wonderful. We had so much fun deciding our menu at the tasting evening, where they were very generous with their time (and portions!) and then on the day itself the food was exceptional - totally matched our style, and I've had so many comments from our guests about how delicious it all was. Especially for the cashew cream pasta - honestly the runaway favourite! Thank you so much to Sarto for feeding us and our guests so well and as always for your great service. Special thanks for Sam for helping us organise it and just being lovely throughout :)

This place is fantastic. The food is spot on (the sort you can’t stop thinking about afterwards), the staff are friendly and helpful. We were looked after so well. Being vegan, it’s often difficult to find a decent choice but Sarto have plenty of choice of food and drinks (including good vegan wine) I had the spaghetti confit aglio e olio, chilli which for a simple dish was an absolute taste sensation. I honestly can’t recommend it enough! I don’t have a sweet tooth so the sgroppino was the perfect dessert for me. (Lemon sorbet whipped with vodka and Prosecco. What’s not to like?) Can’t wait to go back and eat it all again!

I was craving some authentic Italian Pasta and after a lot of browsing, came across this wonderful restaurant. Nestled in a cosy corner near Leeds bus station, this place is a gem for all pasta lovers. Honestly, we made a reservation at the last minute and though we ended up arriving a bit early, we were seated right away. The Arancini, we ordered was delicious and so was the Fettuccine pasta with wild mushrooms. We got a seat adjacent to the window and enjoyed our meal whilst watching the moving traffic on a Sunday afternoon. Would like to try the other items on the menu on my next visit.

A very modern ambience with an odd entrance that fades into the urban sprawl. We got the focaccia and aranchini for starters, the mushroom/marsala cream pasta and the special almond pasta for mains. The focaccia was a tad bit salty and the aranchini didn't really have a lot of flavour but the texture was crunchy. The mains were disappointing and fell short of the great reputation that Sarto has. The highlight of the evening was the service, which was excellent!

Love the environment, chill and relax. The main was fulfilling, definitely recommended, not the dessert, it was just okay, the ladyfingers weren’t fully dipped with coffee so was a bit dry.

Great lunch spot. Perfectly cooked fresh pasta with lots of flavour. Tried the gnocchi and mushroom fettuccini and would highly recommend both dish. The best pasta I’ve had in the UK and very reasonably priced.

Delicious pasta, amazing flavours and truly perfection! Best Italian in Leeds and further out, this rivals the best pasta I’ve eaten in Italy itself! Wonderful service. Great experience, will definitely return! We had the puttanesca, mushroom and nduja pasta and the gnocchi and the mozzarella and tomatoes for starter! Didn’t manage to get a photo of two of the pastas as I was in food heaven and forgot! Thank you Sarto’s

Classy contemporary Italian done well, small plate dining, fresh pasta, and nothing too fussy - the food had impactful flavour, big hits of salt, cream, a bit of heat. I opted in on the extra Parmesan on my pasta , the kitchen got the optimal texture of soft and chewy balanced perfectly with the gnocchi. The starters suited us - a bit of bread, anchovies, olives and some and the prices I felt were great value for an inner city spot. Good dietary options, but not too many choices on the menu, not that I mind if it keeps quality consistent. I think they would welcome big tables, parties and professional after-work crowd well, it’s not the cosiest spot, but I don’t care because I’m still thinking about that gnocchi.
