   News are around that lakehouse is perhaps closing and I’ve been meaning to come for 4 years but its soooo far from the city I only decided now. Was soo cosy and tasty, we were looked after 100%. Food came quickly and super tasty! Interior deco is very authentic. Wish someone invested and it could move closer to the city + some good old advertising, I could order take away on a lazy sunday night! My non-hungarian partner always loves “porkolt”. :)

Mihály, the owner, was so welcoming and genuine – it honestly felt like being invited into a friend’s home. That kind of care and kindness is rare, and it made our evening unforgettable.    A hidden gem of a place. Traditional Hungarian dishes, good quality, generous portion sizes at reasonable costs. Friendly manager who was more than willing to offer recommendations and advice on dishes. Look forward to the next time I visit again.

   It was not the first time to visit a Hungarian restaurant. I always amazed by the Hungarian cuisine. Very delicious and various menu all the time. I liked Hungarian food because they always have something unusual to order. Today I tried the Wiener Schnitzel from veal with some parsley potatoes. I suggest to have it with some Cucumber salad and gherkins. These pickled veggies are not popular in Portugal but since I have a friend who introduced me these pickles I always have a few of them for my main. I really like the chestnut purée with whipped cream. I did not know that chestnut can be this delicious.

   I and my Portuguese friend visited the Lakehouse this lovely sunny Sunday. We were so amazed by the homemade chicken pate and goualsh and chicken soup were also very yummy. We recommend that ask some bread for goulash soup. They served the soups in rustic bowls. The mains are very fullfilling and big portions. Always go for parsley potatoes instead of chips! It is worth a lot. And the desserts? Mmmm you have a few choices. Hungarian crepes, Hungarian trifle, chestnut puree with fruits and whipping cream. For drink: I tasted their lemonade. I really loved it. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, cosy and handmade decorated. If you can, and have had experience within just share it with your friends and family.
