“Excellent neighbourhood gem! I have been here a few times and introduced others as well and there has not been a single negative remark. The food is innovative and delicious. Nothing is bland, boring or ordinary. All unique dishes, well put together and inventive. What we tried on latest trip: The fillet steak had an option of pepper or truffle sauce and we said that sounds like a good combo for a sauce and they said they'd could do that for us....it was the best sauce on steak! The crispy chicken starter is my favourite thing on menu! Miso cod is excellent and duck bons bons also very good”

“We came here first time and we didn't left disappointed. The food was amazing! It's definitely the best Polish restaurant we ever been! We had Żurek to start. For the second course we had Veal cabbage rolls with forest mushroom sauce (Gołabki z cielęciną z sosem grzybowym). I recommend it to everyone it was so delicious. Also we had Beef roulade (Rolada Śląska) witch was perfect in every way. In the end of course I couldn't not have dessert so I had Apple pie (Szarlotka). Compliments to the schef for cooking such an amazing food. The service was very nice and professional (Thank You Klaudia). We also wanted to thank the very nice and so welcoming owner. She make our stay so much better with a friendly chat. For ma moment I felt like I am home again. Thank you so much. We are a bit far from you but we definitely want to come back.”

“Good albeit expensive spot for delicious and decadent Georgian food - the spinach kachapori, the mushroom mains, the pork and the chicken mains are delicious and the honey cake is the perfect dessert to wrap up the meal. The portions are sizeable, which makes the price a bit more worth it. Orders can take a while during busy moments, service otherwise is largely quick and friendly.”

“Absolutely delicious Shanghainese food! Every dish was full of authentic flavour — especially the dumplings, which were juicy and perfectly balanced. The braised pork was tender and rich without being greasy. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots in town for genuine Shanghai cuisine — highly recommended!”

“I have just been back to PLU, for my third time, and it just keeps getting better. I do not know how this place does not have multiple Michelin stars, it is so much better than all of the 2 starred restaurants I have been to. To think that there is just one chef creating all of these dishes alone in the kitchen is absolutely mind boggling. This restaurant should be top in all of the guides, yet it is just quietly tucked away in St John's Wood and no one seems to know about it. Favourite dishes for me this time round... the tuna, no.. the foie gras, who am I kidding it must be at least one of the parts of the 'lobster trilogy'. Maybe it is easier to decide which of the the two desserts was the best... I said the Opera cake & my other half said definitely the Apple & Blackberry Crumble. Thank goodness you don't need to make choices!”

“Absolutely stunning food！Had the full tasting menu. Every single course tastes amazing！ The whole dining experience was fantastic. The amuse bouche was served in the bar area，and then we were led to the dining room. The dining tables are big and between tables it is very well spaced. The service is very professional. The environment is very well designed and decorated. Guests can watch the chefs cooking in the open kitchen. The taste of the food is complicated also very well balanced. My favourate dishes are lobster rice，quail，fish stew and the wagyu.”

“News are around that lakehouse is perhaps closing and I’ve been meaning to come for 4 years but its soooo far from the city I only decided now. Was soo cosy and tasty, we were looked after 100%. Food came quickly and super tasty! Interior deco is very authentic. Wish someone invested and it could move closer to the city + some good old advertising, I could order take away on a lazy sunday night! My non-hungarian partner always loves “porkolt”. :)”

“Our favorite restaurants in Orpington and we go there often. The lobster dish is absolutely delicious and perfect for two people to share. The best we had for a lobster dish. Lots of good seafood dishes that you won’t find in other restaurants around here. The salads is delicious that even I who isn’t a big fan of salad like it. Their children menu is also good. We particularly like the nutritious and healthy fish and veggies dish for our son. He cleared the whole plate. Very friendly staff and chefs. The price is very good too for what you get. Highly recommend it.”

“We had the most delightful date night last night. We were given a voucher for our 53 rd wedding anniversary to use. The selection of food was amazing and we didn't know what to choose. The attention to detail was evident in each one of our dishes. The duck was cooked to perfection and the flavours all blended together so well. I highly recommend this restaurant. The (dream) team: - Joanna was very kind since the beginning; - Chef Patron Sebastian Rast and his team made a great job in kitchen. Very quiet and effective. Absolutely masters! The food: I totally destroyed the wrong concept about gourmet food (gourmet is tasteless or/and not fulfilling). Every single dish was an explosion of flavours. Absolutely stunning! “I visited Borough Market in June. With the wide selection of options of where to eat, I decided to try Iraqi food for the first time and seriously, it was some of the most delicious food I've had. The flavours are amazing, including the sauces (the mango chilli sauce is a must). I met the owner (Phil) while I was there, and he was a true gent, as well as the other chefs. Also, my wife is vegan, and she loved it too, especially the mushroom chap with the tamarind sauce. Needless to say, I highly recommend Juma Kitchen!”

“There is such a huge variety of options here and every dish I've tried so far has been fantastic. I love that it's both a cafe and a restaurant, and how much the vibe changes between day and night. The staff are warm and friendly, and the seating in the extension has a lovely atmosphere in the evenings. The chicken and waffles is scrumptious.”

“We visited The Clock House in May. Having never been whilst it was Drakes we were excited to see if it lived up to it's previous reputation. I can safely say it did - and we had a brilliant experience. It's a close shave between this restaurant and Stovells in Chobham for the title of most special restaurant we've visited in Surrey. Clock House may just take it - as not only is the food first class, so is the atmosphere, dining room and service. Looking forward to the next special occasion which might warrant a return here. Let's hope they achieve a Michelin star too - they deserve it.”

The restaurant itself is somewhat dated, but that’s not a criticism, it’s like walking back in time and the level of service reflects that. The waiters and all staff we dealt with were very kind and entertaining. The food, well, the food was sublime! I would recommend to anyone and we will be returning in a few weeks to try some other items on the menu! Fresh bread and butter on arrival was a nice touch, especially because the bread rolls were shaped like tiny loafs which was a nice touch!”

“I really really enjoyed the food here! My highlights were the lamb shoulder - the pomegranate perfectly compliments the lamb. The roasted pumpkin is so gorgeously paired with the sauce! The trio of dips were gorgeouuuuuusssss. The polenta fries are just stunning as well! Together with the fantastic food that we had I must also give a special mention to Dorota & Lorenzo - both are a real credit to the team! “A wonderful indoor and outdoor dining room for a working lunch or group evening. Situated near the throng of embassies, this Polish restaurant serves excellent food. An exceptional dining room and elegant outdoor space come well recommended. The beetroot soup and perogi were both to a very fine standard. Service, too, was also top-notch and attentive. There are set luncheon options at a reasonable cost for the quality which I would entertain on a second visit. I would advise booking as it was very busy on this visit. Thank you for a lovely lunch.”

“We had the seven course menu and every course was excellent. The service was fantastic with special mention to the Albanian waiter we had, he was so professioanl in his approach and was an excellent asset to the team. There was one other waiter, who delivered our tea service, who was on “robot mode” held no eye contact and the service felt robotic/rehearsed/emotionless he rushed too much which was shame. The atmosphere is clearly very formal but it was welcoming and we were treated excellently. My only complaint was the table of two 50plus year olds who decided that they would each each other faces for around an hour, the conversation was vulgar from them as was the “slobbering” noise while they tried to investigate each other tonsils. The staff should have intervened as they were taking it too far and it really wasnt pleasant to have to listen to/observe. Aside from this pair of guests, the who experience was fabulous, amzing food and mostly top class service. Highly recommend.”
