“Lovely new place to enjoy roti chanai …we tried the fish & mutton curries, both cooked perfectly, nice & spicy. Rotis were freshly made, authentic & crispy, perfect with the curries! Don’t miss this gem in Winchmore Hill!”
“Absolutely fantastic experience at 1905. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the Greek origins and stories behind several dishes, which really added to the overall dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell a lot of care goes into everything they do here. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for amazing food and warm, attentive service.”
“Visited for an anniversary meal. We had the tasting menu, and so nice to have a menu created for vegetarians rather than as an afterthought. Service was attentive and friendly, but never intrusive. Food was wonderful - a marvellous and memorable evening for us.”
“Visited in September 2023. 4.5/5. First time visit to GBR, for an evening meal on a Friday evening, for an after work catch up with family in late September. The restaurant was high on my list to visit and I was very pleasantly impressed. The food was incredible. The freshest produce used to make a delicious meal. We had Pork Tenderloin and Spring Lamb for mains, with this delightful Mushroom Soufflé. All cooked to perfection. The all day menu has plenty of choices for all tastebuds. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, with fresh white linen. The service was great and almost personal. The atmosphere was a bit drab considering it was a Friday night in Mayfair, it wasn’t that busy (which is probably blessing in disguise). A worthwhile experience, for all occasions.”
“Really good food and not snobby at all. The flavours and produce are fresh and so tasty. I loved the soda bread and cheese soufflé nibbles before the starter, and wish there was more of it. The desserts are great too, which restaurants usually don’t do a good job of. This is one of the few places where I have had a 3 course meal with an aperitif, a drink with the meal, drink at the end, and a tea/coffee, and felt that’s it’s all worth it! Best thing is that you don’t feel stuffed by the end, just perfectly satisfied.”
“This is an exceptional restaurant. An absolute all rounder. We came here first because of the google reviews. Our first visit was in November 2024 and we were slightly worried we’d made a mistake as we observed the unfancy (but beautifully kept!) interior, and particularly spied the speakers on arrival. However, the entertainment (Tom Jones) turned out to be great fun, and the food was a revelation. I then went back for Whitney Houston night in January 2025 and the entertainment blew me away. And after a very tough Christmas, the food soothed my soul, and my girlfriends and I came away delighted. In summary: Great italian food is hard to find in London, and now having tried nearly everything on the menu by taking exclusive hire of the restaurant for a big birthday, I can confidently say that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. We booked the Whitney gals and they blew everyone away with their talent and joie de vivre. Quite simply, go here asap.”
“We celebrated my dad’s birthday at Salut! and couldn’t have had a better experience. The team was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived: genuine hospitality that instantly made it feel special. We started with the golden beetroot carpaccio and bream royale crudo, both stunningly presented and bursting with fresh, balanced flavours. For mains, the duck leg, sirloin, and pork belly were all excellent, the sirloin especially was perfectly cooked and melt-in-the-mouth tender. The orange & lime crème brûlée was the perfect finale, light yet indulgent. It’s our second visit this year, and Salut! once again delivered both outstanding food and heartfelt service. A true neighbourhood gem: elegant but unpretentious, ideal for birthdays, date nights, or any occasion worth celebrating. Already excited to try their new Oui Madame spot soon”
“My partner and I went to Palmers Restaurant for the first time on Sunday and we were really impressed! The restaurant was clean and tidy with a great atmosphere, the staff were really friendly and polite and the food was exquisite! We both went for a Sunday roast and by the end of it, decided that it was one of the best we had ever had (even better than Hawksmoor!). We will definitely be visiting again!”
“Was fortunate enough to get a last minute dinner reservation at the counter, which was a great experience! The restaurant is a short walk from Old Street station. Nest offers seasonal menus and my visit was during Beef Season. Unfurling the wax-sealed menu revealed two set menu options, the short menu or longer signature menu, which I went with. A wine pairing is available however I chose my own drinks. Over the next two hours I was treated to eleven courses of incredible cooking. Despite being Beef Season the menu was interspersed with some seafood and vegetable items as well, although they had found creative ways to incorporate beef in many of the courses. I enjoyed all the dishes but some of my favourites were the tempura oyster with bone marrow mayonnaise, the sirloin carpaccio and Highland beef. Sitting at the kitchen counter added to the experience, you could tell the chefs were passionate from the way they worked together and the way they explained each dish and how they had made it. To drink I had a Nest Negroni and a glass of Slovakian red wine, both of which were excellent and served promptly. The drinks list is extensive and will suit most tastes. Nest is in an area with lots of competition and certainly holds its own. It was a great meal and I would love to return to try another season!”
“This was my first visit to this restaurant which was chosen by my client for a business meeting because he is vegan. There are more Plant Based options on the menu than not and they all looked / tasted great. For those of us who also eat meat, I can say the venison was spectacular. Both of us left having truly appreciated a fantastic meal. The venue was perfect, great location in a sophisticated part of town and the ambience was well judged. It's not the biggest restaurant but there was enough space between tables to have discrete conversations without concern. As a further vote of confidence, I will be visiting again in the new year with my wife... AND DOG :) Sean, our fantastic waiter positively encouraged me to bring our dog. Table 6 is probably best if you bring your furry friend because its a little removed from the other tables. I'm looking forward to my next visit - thanks again for the great service Sean.”
“I booked Clarke’s for my mums 70th birthday family dinner. I was honestly blown away by the service we received. We had pre organised champagne on arrival and a personalised birthday cake for dessert. We absolutely loved our dining experience, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic. Sally came over to chat to us and wish my mum a happy birthday. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better restaurant to celebrate such a special occasion! Thank you so much!”
“My partner and I had a lovely experience at this restaurant. We had never eaten Azerbaijani food before, and we were not disappointed. The portions were healthy and delicious, with lots of flavours going on. I had the Mixed Grill, and my partner had the Chestnut Plov. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try Azerbaijani cuisine! ☆☆☆☆☆”
“There is such a huge variety of options here and every dish I've tried so far has been fantastic. I love that it's both a cafe and a restaurant, and how much the vibe changes between day and night. The staff are warm and friendly, and the seating in the extension has a lovely atmosphere in the evenings. The chicken and waffles is scrumptious.”
“Our group The Emerald circle club, went there for Christmas lunch. A beautiful walk welcome as soon as you got to the door, a lovely lady was there to open it for you & take your coat etc. The place was spacious, very clean & a lovely ambiance. The food was plentiful & so delicious, great variety of both food & drinks. Great service, every staff member was warm & friendly. The bathroom was kept in good condition, clean, with interesting artwork on display. It was my first time; but definitely won't be my last, Please God.”
“We went for dinner and were very impressed with the experience. The restaurant itself is somewhat dated, but that’s not a criticism, it’s like walking back in time and the level of service reflects that. The waiters and all staff we dealt with were very kind and entertaining. The food, well, the food was sublime! I would recommend to anyone and we will be returning in a few weeks to try some other items on the menu! Fresh bread and butter on arrival was a nice touch, especially because the bread rolls were shaped like tiny loafs which was a nice touch!”
“Went here for my mums birthday, young lad that was serving us was very smart and professional. Very nice place and the food was sublime! Definitely coming back!”
“I recently dined at your restaurant and had an exceptional experience, largely thanks to the outstanding service provided by your waitress, Halina. From the moment I entered, Halina greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel incredibly welcome. Throughout the meal, Halina's attentiveness and professionalism were truly commendable. She went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable and seamless. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered excellent recommendations that perfectly suited my taste preferences. Not only was Halina efficient and attentive, but her genuine kindness and friendly demeanor truly stood out. She took the time to engage in pleasant conversation, making me feel valued as a customer. In addition to Halina's exceptional service, the food at your restaurant was delicious, and the ambiance was inviting. The combination of great food and outstanding service made for a memorable dining experience that I will cherish. I highly commend Halina for her exemplary service and dedication to ensuring that guests have a wonderful dining experience. She is a true asset to your restaurant, and I look forward to returning soon to enjoy her impeccable service once again.”
“Absolutely amazing place. Staff was professional, friendly and kind. Such a nice atmosphere. Very clean and stylish and peaceful. A lot of options from the menu. We try few things and everything was delicious and well presented. I am impressed! Well done! Will be back for sure. Thank you 681!”
“We visited The Clock House in May. Having never been whilst it was Drakes we were excited to see if it lived up to it's previous reputation. I can safely say it did - and we had a brilliant experience. It's a close shave between this restaurant and Stovells in Chobham for the title of most special restaurant we've visited in Surrey. Clock House may just take it - as not only is the food first class, so is the atmosphere, dining room and service. Looking forward to the next special occasion which might warrant a return here. Let's hope they achieve a Michelin star too - they deserve it.”
“I think all my other reviews of other restaurants need to go down one star after our meal here. What I really loved about this restaurant over other similar bracket places is that it was exquisite food but never felt pretentious. The food was incredible and the wine pairing was devine. I have always been a bit disappointed with Tokaji before but their selection is by far and the best I have had from Hungary. Staff were amazingly friendly and courteous - really helped to enhance the intimate feel of the venue. Chef coming out and explaining the food was a nice touch. Highlights for me was the rainbow trout course.. that was just incredible.. and the Cevennes Onion - I can see why it is their signature dish.. I could keep waxing superlatives but all I can say is do come and try it and you will see what i mean.. Will be back for my wifes birthday later in the year!”
“Been to the restaurant for the Friday night with live music. One of the best nights yet at Rians. The chef and the owner attended to us personally to make sure our food was exactly up to our standards. Such a cozy, friendly and serene atmosphere. Cannot recommend the restaurant enough for the atmosphere, food and the friendly attending staff. Now it’s my regular. And the Greek music was addictive that night. Such a nice place for a decent family meal. The video of the music always taken literally at the beginning of the evening and it didn’t take long the restaurant filled up with the regulars and the visitors like me. Wow!!”
“The food was incredible. I got the a la carte menu. The flavours were immaculate and only one thing topped it… THE SERVICE! I have never felt so looked after in any restaurant. Foyj, Lynch, Lewis and Luke had my friend and I in stitches and were an absolute pleasure. I wish I could tip because this experience was worth a lot more than what we paid!!”
“Bar 61 reopened on 25 July under new ownership with a soft launch of a slightly limited menu. Grand opening with full menu is scheduled for 1 August. The tapas menu is now much more authentically Spanish, with tortilla being cooked to order, so you have a choice to order it soft Spanish style. The wine list starts with a much more modest £5 a glass/£20 a bottle price point for the house wines. The loos have been completely rebuilt and are clean and shiny, but are located downstairs, so still not great for accessibility.”
“We booked a table for 5 and were lucky enough to be served by Michael who was kind and attentive. The food was amazing. Most of us had pizza which was fresh and delicious. The younger members also enjoyed the delicious gelato afterwards. We look forward to returning again”
“An absolutely wonderful and delicious venue! I’ve been here a few times and always had a great experience. The Moussaka is to die for! Huge shout out to Andy - wonderful customer service and creates a great atmosphere every time!”
“I absolutely love this place and have been a regular here! My favorite dishes are Khinkali, Khachapuri, and Ostri. If you prefer vegan options, I recommend the Meze and Red Beans (Lobio) — both are great choices. As a Georgian myself, I can confidently say the food here tastes just like it does in Georgia. I’ve also tried several of their white wines, and all of them have been excellent. For dessert, my favorites are the honey cake and the walnut roll (Sigareti) — both are delicious! The chefs and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!”
“I was in a group of 11, the staff was very friendly great food and a really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend NISSI.”
“Friday evening visit at the brazzerie. Excellent food. We had the venison puff , salmon and burger. The chicken bites were yum but overall wonderful experience. I will be back. The only issue I had is that it would have been nice if they took our coats to hang rather than fold them around our chairs. They did that for others so I'll let that pass for the first visit.”
“Delicious! Try the ribs - amazing! Also pictured are masala chips and muhskaki. You probably want to end with karak chai and a paan. Great value and East African + Indian cooking!!”
“Absolutely great little restaurant. Fantastic choice of food to cater for all, excellent service from their very attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this restaurant.”
