Lovely cosy and warm British restaurant near Old Street and Shoreditch. Interesting seasonal menu, we visited during lamb season. A la carte nenu items included a fantastic soda bread, olives, scallops, corn and giroles, lamb (of course), and a fish option with the best mash potato ever, smooth and rich. Delicious! Price about Β£90 per person with drinks.

Had a great time at The Nest in Old Street. The vibe was cool and laid-back, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and nicely done β you can tell they put effort into it. There was a bit of a wait between dishes, but nothing too bad. Overall, a solid spot for a nice meal without being too fancy. Would happily go back!

Was fortunate enough to get a last minute dinner reservation at the counter, which was a great experience! The restaurant is a short walk from Old Street station. Nest offers seasonal menus and my visit was during Beef Season. Unfurling the wax-sealed menu revealed two set menu options, the short menu or longer signature menu, which I went with. A wine pairing is available however I chose my own drinks. Over the next two hours I was treated to eleven courses of incredible cooking. Despite being Beef Season the menu was interspersed with some seafood and vegetable items as well, although they had found creative ways to incorporate beef in many of the courses. I enjoyed all the dishes but some of my favourites were the tempura oyster with bone marrow mayonnaise, the sirloin carpaccio and Highland beef. Sitting at the kitchen counter added to the experience, you could tell the chefs were passionate from the way they worked together and the way they explained each dish and how they had made it. To drink I had a Nest Negroni and a glass of Slovakian red wine, both of which were excellent and served promptly. The drinks list is extensive and will suit most tastes. Nest is in an area with lots of competition and certainly holds its own. It was a great meal and I would love to return to try another season!

Great food! Great taste! Great services! Great selection of wines! Pleasantly surprised to find Nest while in London. It certainly lives up to its reputation of freshness and locally sourced menu. Set menu was offered and it didnβt disappoint. The food is fresh and tasty. The wine pairing choices certainly compliment the dishes. Services were friendly and nice. The restaurant design and decor were rustic yet relaxed. 5 βοΈ. Will visit again.

This was my fourth visit to Nest and it didnβt disappoint. Fantastic meal - and every dish was delicious and different. Very generous wine pairing. Really friendly and knowledgable service. Lovely atmosphere. Still the best value for money tasting menu that Iβve done in London. We will be back!

Such a special place! We absolutely loved having lunch here. We had the duck menu and everything was cooked perfectly. Really clever uses of every part of the duck. We really enjoyed every single one of the dishes. The small bombs filled with liver parfait were absolutely delicious. I also did not know that celeriac could taste so so good. Definitely a must-try!!

We loved it - boozy Saturday lunch. Restaurant small and very rustic. Didn't seem too promising at first, just by the looks of the place. Service friendly with time for a chat. Food absolutely Michelin star worthy, I have eaten worse at one star restaurants. All dishes were interesting and we enjoyed staying on theme (venison) through the menu. Fabulous afternoon with friends. Wines good, but wine prices quite inflated - but hey, these brilliant kids have to pay the bills and the tasting menu is an absolute treat for that money.

Really excellent tasting menu. We had fish and each course was interesting, flavoursome and worthy. Great service and a fine little venue all at a reasonable price. Would happily go again.
