They hosted a family wake. Buffet was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Bar prices were very reasonable. Great service. Catered for a member of the party who was gluten free. Would highly recommend.

Me and my family love this pub. The staff are very friendly They have a huge garden which is great for functions. The food is absolutely amazing, especially the Sunday roast dinners. It's run by a lovely, caring family. They make you very welcome, and they will do anything for you. Definitely recommend this pub

Wow. I came here back in December and what an absolute treat! The food was perfect. I don’t usually say that especially about beef like this. I order medium rare and that is exactly what it was. I went with my nan and grandad and they both enjoyed theirs. I will most definitely be back!

The best service that I have had in a pub, in the last 6 months. This is a warm and cosy pub, with a restaurant area, and bar. We arrived mid walk , during the snow December 22. Despite the walking attire and boots we were warmly welcomed. If available I recommend the steak & kidney pudding.

Out of the blue my wife cried out," I'm hungry, let's stop here." Well, who am I to argue with the thought of being fed both food and drink. I naturally obeyed. And I'm glad we did. It's a Freehouse which always means so much more to me and the restaurant side is tastefully decorated. With a warm glowing feeling to it. Harry, a young and professional man welcomed us, made us feel welcome, gave us the menu and told us of the specials of the day. Wine first... of course. The bottle of Rioja we had was of a good quality and sat well with my meal. Which was one of the specials: Lamb Cutlets served with a mustard based sauce, fresh crispy veg and potatoes. It was perfectly cooked and exceedingly tasty. A little more veg and potatoes would have made it perfect perfect. I would certainly recommend it to anyone going there. My darling wife had their burger, which she said, and I quote,"This is the nicest burger I've ever had.' Compliment indeed. Her chips were scrummy and she loved the coleslaw. Bearing in mind that this is a pub restaurant, I was impressed. I wish them luck in the endeavours.
