   I recently ordered chicken biriyani from The Taj. The chicken and rice had food colouring in it and the biriyani had no taste or flavour, it was too bland. Not at all worth the rate. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to order from here.

   UPDATE TO BELOW REVIEW.. Just did another order, which they cancelled, when calling the guy claimed we are out of their delivery area and are too far. Which makes 0 sense. He was also blunt and emotionless. Also seemed to imply I was lying about ordering before.. shame after left such a good review lasttime. Will now seek elsewhere. ----- Orginal review below. If you're searching for the most authentic, flavour-packed Indian meal, look no further! This was, without a doubt, the most flavoursome Indian food I’ve ever had. The Lamb Tikka Phall was fiery and rich, bursting with bold spices yet beautifully balanced. The Chicken Chat Puri Starter (extra hot!) delivered a delightful kick with succulent, well-seasoned chicken wrapped in soft, warm puri—perfection! The Keema Rice was another knockout, infused with deliciously spiced minced meat and the perfect amount of heat. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection, the sauce was thick and indulgent, the meat was tender and full of flavour, and everything arrived hot and steaming, just as it should. Timing was spot on, proving that they care about both quality and service. Of course, the papadam added that satisfying crunch to round off an unforgettable meal. A truly exceptional dining experience—I’ll definitely be ordering again! Highly recommend.

   Waited over an hour for delivery (despite being advised it would be delivered in 25-40 minutes) Uber Eats app was showing that order was on its way for almost half an hour (restaurant less than a ten minute drive from us) - when I called to chase they’d “forgotten to send the order to the kitchen”. Useless - avoid!

   Been coming here 2 or 3 times in the year with friends to catch up. The curry is always top quality and the service better. Very friendly, whether they're chatting away with you, they're always warm and friendly with other customers. They're always happy to explain a new curry dish and recommend hot, mild etc. Just incase you're new to the game. We will always choose this place as our medium ground to meet up at for dinner. Thank you all

   I’ve been coming to this restaurant on and off for takeaway and occasional dine in for the best part of 20 years. It’s changed owners/chefs many times and at time the food has been sub par but I’ve never thought to leave a bad review. Tonight however, the prices have gone up, the quality has gone down massively, and the service wasn’t good. They forgot to put in popadoms, so I had to go back and get them, then when I got back for a second time I discovered that they’d given us a wrong dish as well. Not the first time they’ve forgotten something either. Their weak apology for being busy doesn’t really wash, when they could just simply tell me 45 minutes instead of 30 and take their time to make sure they get the one thing right that they need to. Topping it all off at the food was probably the worst I’ve ever had from there. The tikka was so dry it was barely edible, and the naan breads were tough and cold like they’d been sitting out on the side for hours. It’s a shame, but we will not be coming back again, and will need to find another Indian.

2. Unpleasant Humour ★☆☆☆☆

   Ordered using Deliveroo. Shortly after I received a call to say that I was too far away even though it came up on Deliveroo at my address. They told me to get a refund from Deliveroo. I contacted Roo and they contacted the restaurant who have said they have delivered the order and won’t refund ! So they have just stolen the money! Restaurant just telling me to contact Deliveroo again ! AVOID !

   The food arrived hot, fresh and well presented! You get so much for your money and it tasted BEAUTIFUL! This has always been my favourite Indian take out, I did not know they could get better then they was but last night proved they can- was like a home cooked meal Straight from the kitchen-Devine!

   One of the best curry houses I've tried in the area. Service is friendly, portions generous and tasty, and great value menu. Loved the Baileys and after eight with the bill - which I've only seen at Flavour of India before it changed hands. Everything (bar the poppadoms and chutney) tasted fresh, and came out nice and hot. They could do with reorganising the 'specials' part of the menu though - it's a confusing mess!
