   Had a booking for 11 people ( 6 adults , 5 children aged 11 - 15 years old ) at 6:30pm on Thursday 18th September 2025 under the name of Hayley We booked this 2 weeks ago as despite it being a weeknight , we knew the Restaurant would be busy , so we didn’t want to be disappointed and not be able to get a booking 3 families as well as our special guest who is from Dallas , Texas USA who is a friend of all the families As local families we wanted to make him welcome and treat him to a lovely dining experience so what better place then the Hayat As families we have dined here many times & last nights experience was as brilliant as ever Ordered the prawns in garlic for starters as well as the Calamari We then ordered 2 sharing platters for 5 as we knew this would be enough for the 11 of us As always the food was amazing & the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us all We couldn’t eat all the food so the staff kindly brought out takeaway boxes which was shared out amongst all of us to enjoy again this evening The Turkish flatbread and dips certainly get the taste buds flowing before the starters and sharing platters arrived on the table If dining with children , a must to order are the mocktail drinks Thank you again to all at the Hayat Turkish Restaurant for another amazing evening Our friend from the USA was extremely impressed and is currently high in the sky flying home to Dallas As I was passing by the Restaurant today , I took the opportunity to pop in just to say thank you for last nights service Regards Stuart

   A real local gem. By no means a cheap meal out, but the quality of the food and the service are second to none. This makes the price good value. Kids menu offers a main meal for £8.50, the portion size is great. The adult meals ranging around £20-25 are huge. Very substantial for the heartiest of appetites. I've ordered takeaways and eaten in several times now and have honestly never been let down. Lamb Chops and Lamb Ribs my favourite, closely followed by the old classic Chicken Shish. When eating in, service is added to the bill. We were accommodated when turning up 45 mins early for our booking. But booking is advised during peak times.

   I went for my birthday dinner at this fine restaurant and I must say there service is top notch. From the ambience to the food. The waiting time for food is okay, and all the food I had was hot. Amazing service thank you.

   One of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve been to and I love lamb chops! Came here for lunch and will admit is a little pricey but thought would give it a try as love my lamb. Order mix grill for one and came with lots of quality cut meat and good portion along with rice, salad and was given extra fresh pitta. Really good service and friendly and definitely worth a visit if you like lamb and good quality meats. Forget the ones you been to and give this one a try and it’s really tasty!

   Came here on a rare trip away without the kids. Booked a table on Saturday evening. It was very busy. Staff were very friendly. Starters came with a bread basket and dips which I would happily have ordered as a starter, gorgeous! My main was vegetarian moussaka, it was a bit disappointing. The meat dishes coming out to other tables looked and smelled delicious! I'm neither vegetarian nor vegan, but if I were I don't think I'd come back - veggie choices were very limited and I don't recall seeing any vegan dishes. I'm t-total and ordered a mocktail that tasted suspiciously like it had rum in it! The second one I ordered tasted completely different so I was a bit concerned that I'd accidentally drank alcohol. It was a bit loud so it is possible they didn't hear me say mocktail. Luckily I wasn't driving, but I did suffer tummy pains afterwards. I will come back here, but next time I will order a chicken dish for my main and make sure they hear me when I ask for a mocktail rather than a cocktail!

   Best Turkish restaurant in south London hands down. Amazing food portions very well seasoned. The mixed grill for 2-3 people feeds a hungry family of 4 well. Great service by Baris - very kind and accommodating. Recommend this restaurant everyone
