We went on Friday night and had a great time. Brilliant attentive service and great traditional food. Will definitely be back.
My first visit to Maharani Restaurant was absolutely brilliant. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm smiles and great energy from the friendly staff. They were courteous, attentive, and made sure I was well looked after throughout my meal. I started with the popadom, which was crisp and fresh, the perfect way to begin. For the main course, I had the tandoori chicken along with the chef’s special, both bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, in fact, more than I could finish! The overall experience was fantastic and excellent food, wonderful service, and a lively atmosphere. I’ll definitely be going again with my family and kids and would highly recommend Maharani to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
I don't know if they have changed staff but we weren't the only ones who's order they messed up, then we and others had to remind them what we had when it came to paying the bill!!! itv seemed no one had a clue. then countless times if we wanted more drinks(where they on commission?) Had many a great time there, Not this time sadly
I had a wonderful Experience .the food was absolutely delicious full of rich flavors and freshly made Every dish tasted authentic and satisfying. the staff were so polite friendly and attentive. all are very smart which made the dining experience even better highly Recommend this place if u are looking for great food and excellent service

Very polite and courteous staff, everything that was ordered; the flavours were just amazing and fish curry was perfectly cooked. Great choice of wine and beer. I frequent in Indian restaurants and this one will be going to again
Best Indian I’ve ever had. No doubt. Very friendly staff and excellent service. They have at least 8 chefs in the kitchen and 6-7 staff waiting tables, so it’s very well run restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming again. Delicious - Balti Jalfreezi, Lamb Kattamita, Lamb Roygan Josh, Onion Bhaji. Some minor adjustments/personal criticisms - Bombay potatoes could do with some more spice and flavour, more coconut with the pashwaari naan, more attention given to size of onions in the balti and the freshness of those onions (some had hard texture)
Nice modern decor & atmosphere, very friendly staff but sadly flavourless curries. I got the king prawn korai (£12 or 13) as a treat and was disappointed. Prawns were chewy and the gravy was quite watery, had no flavour whatsoever. Korai was bulked out with big chunks of onions, no tomato or peppers. Prawn puree and other mains (lamb Naga too) also lacked flavour. Rice also seemed to lack quality. It's a shame as that's what you want in a curry - a deep rich flavour but we didn't get it here.
