Large cod wad pretty good and a decent size as well.. the chips portions were huge.. even a kods protion here felt like a regular… i highly recommend you this shop if you live nearby!
When this shop was (( ACE )) was 9/10 This was my second visit ((& last )) Chips were un edable . Sausage in batter tasted like it been cooked over & over . Salaloy was vile . Curry sauce tasted off . I spend £34.00 for 6 of us & we binned almost all of it . Just also to add ....a fresh sausage in batter was given to a delivery driver . So god knows how long the ones in the heater had been there . But the chips were the main issue . Absolutely poor . The colour ,the texture , they were soggy . Two large potions binned . As I say second & last visit. First visit was just to buy a savory & chips for my son who was starving . He did not complain to be honest ...but he was starving . We were all starving AFTER last night's appalling episode .

Lovely chips and curry sauce, much better than previous owners
Tried for the first time recently and really impressed. Can’t fault it our cod and chips was so tasty and nice touch of tartare sauce given free with it. We also tried the battered sausage and curry sauce and have to say both of them were the nicest we’ve had in a long time . Keep up the good work we will be returning.
100% better then pervious owners. Nice pies including steak & ale and good chips. Cods ok and cooked to order which takes 10mins so best to call ahead. £9 for large cod and reg chips ! I'd suggest serving the chips in a separate bag from the boxed fish as my batter on my fish wasn't nice and crispy when I arrived home.
Under new ownership the last few weeks, and now the food is fresh and really high quality, the batter has a lovely crunch and the cod really light and fresh. Cash only at the mo, but the owner said once it gets busy he will start accepting card. Very friendly owner. Let's hope the standard stays as high as it is at the moment. Will be back.
