   Too be fair here , I see some negative reviews, OK I see alot of people waiting for thier fish n chips , or what ever they are ordering outside on a Friday . Why ? Because its popular ! Mistakes happen , don't think its fair to down star , for being run by humans . I saw a review about a guy ordering a cheeseburger at midday - yes I feel your pain , but when I tried to order a half pounder I was told it costs too much money to put the grill on ??? , young guy btw.. what I will say is , I normally go up the road MA'S.t.. .ry.. ( I'm not here to advertise) his prices have increased , stealthily. I thought the cods looked small at oval ? But then I havnt ordered one yet , I'm hoping they where a small ? Since the other place has to break of the tail to fit it in the box ( Large) . Price wise , we ll I think the prices at the oval may be slightly higher. One thing is for certain , the owner , the indies man , oldish , is such a nice fella , he always waves at me when I walk past . Think I'm gonna try a large skinless cod soon .

   Our normal chippy is closed for a while, so we checked out the oval as they are only down the road. I was blown away! Generous portion sizes, chunky white cod. It was close to on par with our regular chippy. The fish was a little soggy, maybe cardboard boxes could prevent this? But it really was not an issue for us. This is the kind of thing that keeps customers going back! Wouldn’t hesitate to come here again purely for the prices and the fish quality. Thanks!!!

   Just had fish & chips for three & a burger meal. Portions were very big, cod was so fresh, burger was tasty, arrived very hot. Highly recommend.

   Popped in for a lunchtime order and after asking for a cheeseburger I was bluntly told that they cannot make the cheeseburger as he was on his own. Even though it is advertised on the price board. I then popped to sea bream a few minutes down the road which turned out a lot cheaper and one member of staff sorted all of our lunchtime problems

   I’ve been coming here for a while every Friday for me and my family , I normally get haddock but this time I decided to change to the chicken burger and wow I was amazed the bun was nice and soft and the chicken was nice and crispy , chips were also unreal.

   Terrible, chips were not very nice and i recieved a burnt/dry/very thin chicken burger, the lettus was brown and i have to put it together myself as it was chucked together with no care. my wife had a veg string roll that she couldn't eat it was full of onion with 2/3 peas in it. Waste of money. Would definatly go 3 mins down the road to sea bream, their chicken burgers are fantastic ( they were shut ) I would not be going here again and I'm annoyed I wasted my money here

   Quality grub, Cod was very generous in size and chips were very delicious. Definitely try the cod and they do surprisingly good grilled burgers! Also southern fried chicken with chip shop chips is awesome!
