Me and a friend were browsing through the shop when a young shop assistant came up to us and talked to us like we were actually human. He showed a genuine interest in making us feel welcome despite us not planning on buying anything which I found so refreshing in comparison to the atmosphere of scrutiny that you usually find in most designer shops. I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout out.

I was frustrated today. I am a regular customer and I love Ted Bakers but after today I don’t feel like shopping there again. I bought a coat online through Klarna and when I went back to return it in store, a very sweet lady served me and she was very patient. But then I didn’t know that I had to return the coat by post and I had already brought the coat with me to return it but this gentleman I think he was the manager told me I can’t return it in store and that I have to post it and whatever. I had already bought the coat without a bag for the post so I struggled and I had to buy a new post office bag for shipping and I paid for the shipment. This gentleman that seems like the manager could have been more considerate and helped me return it in store. It’s not the end of the world. His policy was that if they refund the money now I would still have to pay Klarna, wouldn’t that have been easier for me as a customer? As long as I pay Klarna it shouldn’t be a problem if they took the coat off me and refunded it to my card and then I pay Klarna, especially that he could see I was struggling, it was very inconsiderate and rude. If Ted Bakers with their big name and high prices can’t take care of their regular customers then I don’t want to shop there again.

Got some nice suits here, they were stylish enough and hard wearing, cheap because it's not really designer...but it's upmarket enough that you won't be made fun of by that snooty girl in every office. I got a few times, some of which I've now had for 9 years and they're still going strong...and I've had 2 lovely pairs of black leather work shoes and I can say they're comfortable and hard wearing, although both pairs are for summer only - expect to skid all of the way through winter even if you park right outside work!
