   ***Posted on behalf of my mother, K Firth*** I have been a loyal Monsoon customer for many years, but my recent visit to the Altrincham store (Saturday, 18th Jan) was deeply upsetting and disappointing. I went to the store intending to return a couple of items from an online order, expecting the process to be straightforward. However, I was met with rude and unprofessional treatment from a staff member named Danielle. After waiting in the queue for nearly ten minutes, Danielle opened another till and began assisting me. She insisted on seeing my original order email, which I provided. She then took my phone without asking, noted some details, and informed me that because I had paid using Google Pay, she needed to see the last four digits of my card to proceed with the return. When I explained that I wasn’t sure how to find this information on my phone, her response was dismissive. I attempted to contact my husband and daughter for help, but they were unavailable. Instead of showing understanding or offering solutions, Danielle repeatedly, and loudly, stated that it was “company policy” to prevent fraud, making me feel increasingly embarrassed in front of other customers. I even showed her the physical card I had with me, which displayed all the digits, but she refused to consider it. Eventually, she asked me to step aside, leaving me feeling humiliated and reduced to tears. The ordeal completely overshadowed my visit, and I left the store feeling distressed and demeaned. I have always trusted Monsoon for its quality products and excellent customer experience, but this incident has left me extremely disappointed. I sincerely hope that staff receive better training in the future to handle situations like this with empathy and professionalism.

   Extremely slow delivery timeframes, got completely bored on 3 occasions waiting for orders to be dispatched and delivered. Wished there was a cancel button. I find other retailers much quicker. Extremely bad customer service. I tried to ring twice no answer both occasions i waited 20 minutes both times they say they are recieving a high volume of calls, I highly doubt that I personally think they are going very downhill from their prices being too high and they probably have no one to man the phone line. Not too sure why they give a phone number if they don’t plan on answering. The phone message repeatedly says their WhatsApp isn’t currently working and is undergoing maintenance. I have a business WhatsApp it literally takes 5 seconds to set up so yet again terrible customer service. Then the best thing…you email them. After placing an order you have to wait a lifetime for, you then email them, and they say because of a high volume of customers they will get back to you in 4-5 days. Lol. Has anyone ever known such terrible customer service in their entire lives. You hand over your money to this hideous company and they want you to wait 4-5 days to get back to you! I’ve currently sent back 3 orders because each one arrived way to late. 5 girls bikinis might have been a dead giveaway I wanted them for a holiday but 7 days later I was still waiting. I’m really looking forward to seeing just how long it takes them to refund me. Extremely poor delivery timeframes, next day delivery they want £7 and guesse what..it takes 2 days. All of the delivery company’s they could use and it takes this long it’s a joke. Just get it bagged up get it out hey presto. Answer the phone, sort your WhatsApp, sort your email, sort your refund. Done. I will not ever be ordering again.

   The shop is a good size and it was sales time. It was easy to move around the shop and find clothing/accessories for all tastes. Unfortunately their dresses, skirts and trousers are too long for me (5' tall) but the quality of their ranges is very good and on trend. I was specifically looking for snap hair slides which I was struggling to find elsewhere. They had a small selection, reasonably priced up to £12.00. Shop assistants were unobtrusive but happy to help when asked, friendly too.

   There was a good sale on some items.Not sure how many shop assistants they have,but there was one behind the till and rest of them on the right side (4?) having a good laugh.The one who served me (dark hair, between 20-29)was not too engaged. Very cold. just asked if I wanted a bag. Then off we go to a circle of friends to have s debate.If I did it in my work?I am fired.

   (Accessorize) Lovely products; jewellery is somewhat pricey, but good for little treats; bags are nice, but there is limited variety within the store, so for a wider range of products the website is needed.
