The only clothes shop left in Stockport. At least it's a decent one. I went in Thursday 28th March 24, to buy some jeans. I wrestled with the top blouses as the jeans I was looking for were women's bell bottom flares which were under the blouses. Mens fashion is generally boring and I've been searching for this type of jean for ages. I must have tried five pairs. The changing rooms upstairs left a bit to be desired as the only light that was working, was in a cubicle that had a busy door. Which meant I had to nip out every time I tried something on. ( The photo is me tacking a picture in the cubicle with the bust door and only working light) The floor was also dusty and I had to juggle sticking clothes in places off the ground. In the end I got a pair I liked, and the till person was nice and efficient. ( Upstairs) . The jeans were the normal good quality you'd expect from River Island. To get the fifth star, sort the changing rooms out for next time I come. Cheers dears x
I took my young grand daughter into the merseyway store last Monday , She was very excited! She wanted to try a pair of trainers on .There was no where to sit so She went into one of the cubicles .I waited outside the cubicle to be near if she needed any help ! I was told by the assistant not to loiter round the changing rooms ,As old men near the changing rooms puts off the young girls ! When I pointed out that there was nowhere for her to try the trainers on She pointed at a seat which was hidden a cloths rail .Her attitude was disgusting! Whilst I can appreciate that you do not want man hanging around .There is a difference to a grandad taking his 6 year old grandauter out .It could and should have been handled much better !! STILL ANNOYED AT BEING SPOKEN TO .IN SUCH A BAD MANNER !
I have some lovely clothes from here, although I don’t like a lot of what they sell either. I wouldn’t recommend buying handbags from River, they seem to be made of poor quality and always end up knackered after a few months of wearing. The Stockport branch could have a better choice of what they choose to sell in that particular store, it seems to get sent all the rubbish clothes compared to others
River island at Stockport is much better than other brands. Reasonable prices and good stuff. If you want to purchase better quality things than Stockport Primark then you may give a chance to River Island. I love to handbags collection they have. You will get Everything like for gents, ladies and kids. Do visit
I wen to River Island store for a online order,I was dealt with very quickly and professional at the till area staff helpful and was very pleased with my sandals I bought. Nice store trendy clothes and a good sail rail. would recommend a visit.
