   To be honest I’ve slightly lost interest in Indian food. It all ends up being a little samey and not very interesting. So when a friend suggested meeting at The New Rose I was expecting to be disappointed. Happily my interest has been rekindled by both the excellent food and the great service. The New Rose has a USP I’ve never seen in an Indian restaurant but I won’t spoil it by telling you, other than to say it makes the service unique in my experience. The food was also excellent, my lamb shank was excellent. All in all very good. Not the cheapest, but certainly a great destination that I shall visit again.

   Unsure if new ownership/chef in the last few months however the food is now superb. Last few times the food has been truly delicious with big portions and everything tasting great. Strongly recommend you give this place a try!

   Table of four! Didn't realise was bring your own alcohol, wasn't a problem we all had soft drinks. Staff slow and didn't understand our order. Took two servers for us to repeat it too before they got it. Just dumped anywhere on table so we all had handle plates once put down. Slow.service no checkback no dessert offered so we left. Wont be back. Poor
