A great find in Manchester. We were here a few years ago and stopped by again this trip. While the store is small they have a great focus on English, Scottish and Irish products. I always seem to find something here. This time it was their great scarves and pocket handkerchiefs. You can never go wrong with Crockett and Jones shoes too.
I had a bespoke suit made by the brilliant Matt and Andrew. Each visit to the shop was a real pleasure - they are true gentlemen full of excellent advice and knowledge and impeccable attention to detail. The final product was outstanding. Well worth the investment of time. I'm looking forward to getting more stuff made by DES in the future!
Couldn't have asked for a better suit! I went in to the shop and dealt with Matthew, he helped bring my idea of a custom tux for my wedding day to life. His attention to detail was amazing and got the fit perfect for me, I would highly recommend them and this service as you cannot get this type of quality of fit off the shelf! Whenever I need another suit, I'll be back!
Absolutely phenomenal customer service from Matt and Andrew! I bought a belt from Dorothy Evans & Scott, and after a month realized it was too short. Despite the time passed and not having the original box, they kindly exchanged it for a larger size at no extra cost—shipping included! They were incredibly responsive, kind, and made the entire process seamless. Great selection of products too. Highly recommend!
I popped into this place with my partner for some advice on bow ties. They were gentlemen, and went out of their way to be helpful. They have excellent knowledge on mens clothing. I couldn't reccommend them enough.
Fantastic service from everyone there (especially Matt). Great selection of men’s fashion where I was able to find the perfect suit for my wedding. I’ve never had so many compliments about what I’ve been wearing before. They were exceptionally helpful with the alterations and styling accessories to go with it.
Can not rate this business high enough - Matt and Andy went out of their way to measure up and secure a late order for my recent wedding. Highly skilled, extremely efficient but above all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their experience and professionalism meant that the suit arrived back from Italy requiring no alterations. If you are Looking for bespoke attire for a special occasion or buy a quality off the peg garment - you really should consider this outfitter before all others. My husband and I chose Doherty Evans and Stott to make the suit my husband would wear for our wedding in July 2015. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked down the aisle the experience was amazing. All three partners were so friendly, attentive and so very knowledgeable. My husband had an idea of what he wanted but we didn't know where to start. We were guided through the whole process, from choosing the material, the lining and even the buttons. We were guided on how the suit should fit and given the very best possible advice. The suit was amazing, it looked so good, just perfect for our special day. We also purchased the perfect tie to go with the suit to finish off the look. I was so taken with all the wonderful things in the shop I also treated the other half to a beautiful Italian leather wallet as a wedding present!! Definitely worth taking the trip over to Manchester for.
