   Had a poor experience recently with bland and tasteless food. Sev puri was stone cold - potatoes straight from fridge, not even at room temperature and completely bland. Schezwan noodles were completely tasteless. Complained to staff about quality and they really weren’t bothered - no reaction or even an apology. We just paid and left. Maybe quality has gone south recently.

   Waited 45mins only to be told food was not available!! The waiter mumbled in hindi khanna katam hai (all the food is finished), we asked sab?? (All of it??) Then he ran back to the kitchen and came back.. sorry the food you ordered 45mins ago all has nuts in it and you mentioned someone has a nut allergy. They were insistent we pay for 1 starter we received. We paid it and went across the road. I kind of felt they were happy for us to leave because they were quite busy and couldn't cope. Other customers were also complaining about the wait. Can't comment much on the food. The waiters are OK, despite the above, I think they're just over worked. Prices were average. Internal decor is basic/canteen style. Area isn't great for parking but close to the station. Would avoid next time.

   Lot of people praised this place so I had to check it out. I went for there buffet. This was late afternoon. Unfortunately the food was cold. They did warm what we wanted but it went into microwave. Crispy bhagia warmed up in microwave is waste of time. They were very helpful and made us fresh pizza. Without this it would have been total disappointment.

   A good joint for indian dishes. Tried chilli paneer , samosa chat. Chilli paneer was good. But The samosa chat had those small cocktail flat samosa pieces in what looked like a potato salad topped with yogurt and chutneys. This was different. Not the typical samosa chat. Will try other dishes if i visit againb

   17/2/23 - had ordered a pizza from Jai Durga Mahal. Initially I ordered via Ubereats, but as the order was not collected for very long, I cancelled the order and placed a new order via deliveroo. When I received my pizza, it was very obvious from the look of it and on the first bite, that the pizza had been reheated. The crust was hard and the cheese very dry. I placed the order at 8.42pm and received it at 9.01pm. How can a pizza be made and delivered from North Harrow to Hatch End within q9 minutes? So disgusted with ghe service! 100% the previous order was reheated and passed on to me. 9/2/23 - I ordered Paneer Butter Masala today. It is too salty and too sour. I didn't at all enjoy it. Very disappointed.

   Have been having the food here for years. Appearances are deceiving and behind the very ordinary and unappealing exterior is served the most fantastic selection of indo Chinese foods. Have been ordering the chilli tofu here on a regular basis and am never disappointed. Can make the food very spicy too which is an added bonus. Don't expect any ambience but go for the food

   I’ve been using this place for years, the food is excellent value for money. With certain places price is an indicator of quality and that can’t be said for jai durga. The food is always piping hot fresh and tasty and the indo Chinese food and India started are exceptional for Indian fast food standards. My only pet peeve about this place is that they serve things such as paneer on a bed of lettuce that completely destroys the purpose of serving a side salad as it can make the food soggy and taints the taste of the palate cleansing salad. Please stop doing this, it’s uncalled for - I shouldn’t have to request you to do this every time I place an order.

   Please avoid this place. We ordered aloo Papdi chat, mogo, chilli paneer crispy bhajia . The food was delivered in a state of war(see below) Papdi chat was tasteless and far from appealing!! Bhajia was refried over and over and became dark. The food was inedible. If these people don’t know how to run a restaurant, I suggest that they do it as a hobby at home, rather than fooling the public. Have a look at the photos below and see if it appetising or not???
