Visited Sakonis today with family and had a great time. The buffet system offered a good variety of tasty Indo-Chinese food. The place was very busy due to Christmas, but despite that we really enjoyed the experience. Food was fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere was lively. Would definitely visit again.
I ordered take away dahi wada and dhokla. Very poor service. Both items not cooked properly. Wada had awful smell. I threw it in the bin. I returned after so many years. Service and food was brilliant and I thought it would be the same.
We had such a wonderful experience at Sakonies! The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was packed with flavour and beautifully prepared. A special thanks to Chef Prasant, who is truly an amazing cook! The service was outstanding – we were warmly looked after by Dhruvi, Priya, and Abhay, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their friendliness and professionalism made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Sakonies for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had!
Local needs a face-lift but the food is excellent. Their "eat as much as you want" gives you the opportunity to try everything on the menu plus some if you ask.
It was my first Sakonis in over 6 years. Food was still good. Slightly different from what I remembered but still tasty. The price creeping up is crazy though. But I guess that's everywhere. My portion of Chilli Paneer was also smaller than it used to be. Service was great. Very attentive staff. The place could do with a little TLC, but was fine otherwise.
Super Buffet at very reasonable costs.. great service, superb choice of delicious variety of food from starters to dessert. Lovely ambience... Thoroughly enjoyed the visit
Long standing restaurant with a famous Indian Buffet consisting of paneer, pizza, dosa, Mogo, noodles, curries as well as a number of desserts. The lunch time buffet cost just £10.49 which is a bargain considering chilli paneer alone costs this price from the main menu. Fresh food was brought out on occasions but the majority of food does not get topped up until it is close to being finished. This is acceptable for dry paneer dishes but dosa is unappealing after being left for soo long. They have recently changed the decor and the crimson walls and poorly fitted booths are off putting. This is how Sakonis think a pizza should be made. Absolutely no care for the food they are making. Looks like they just threw a few slices from the buffet into the box. Phoned up and received absolute terrible customer service, the man of the phone wouldn’t actually listen to anything I was saying, would just talk over me and hung up on me. They said it couldn’t be a buffet pizza as they haven’t started buffet yet but they must have forgotten they have a lunch time buffet. I think I’ll use one of the other Sakonis branches going forward as I receive much better customer service from them.
They have buffet offer like 3 times a week which is phantastic. Adult £9.99 on a Sunday - all you can eat. However I think it is an offer at the moment because usually they only have on Tuesdays and Wednesdays I think. Their food and service were great. I have been there a several times and I would go there again and again. It is a vegetarian restaurant with many varieties. The items which I didnt quite like was the soup and noodles. However you have to try their salad. It is very delicious and different.
