   MTR1924 at 129 Kenton Road is a great place for authentic South Indian food. The dosas are crispy, the idlis are soft, and the flavours taste truly traditional. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. The restaurant is small and simple, but the food quality is excellent.

   The best chocolate dosa I have ever tasted is served here. Not a big fan of any of the other dishes especially the rice based dishes but the chocolate dosa alone makes up for any other shortcomings. The ambience is just so warm, relaxing and for some inexplicable reason homely. Also love the way their meals are served, on cheery yellow plastic trays. Always puts a smile on my face. One of my absolute favourite eatery and if it was closer to my place, I would be probably here almost every day of the week having that scrumptious, delicious, oozing goodness of a chocolate dosa. Enough said!

   Thanks to LNER I was able to make this trip down South England to get this amazing authentic flavour of South India!! They have 2 branches, we went to the small one very close to Kenton station. This is no fancy eatery but a humble simple one with disposable cutlery, self-service and the food is absolutely authentic, amazing. Bangalore style dosas (not paper thin), rava idli (mtr specialty) and filter coffee (south indian style) is comparable to none. If you are looking for something authentically South Indian, Bangalore/Karnataka style, do visit and enjoy the taste! MTR as a brand has completed a centenary (100 years) in 2024.

   Ever since it opened, MTR has been our go to place for dosas and south indian food, in general. Never been disappointed and would highly recommend all the variety of dosas. Tried the poori - sabzi during my last visit and that was yummy as well. Filter coffee is a must try.

   It is take away branch . But few seats were available as well for dine in . I ordered dosas and dosas were delicious surely visit again as it is takeaway branch so food had been served in disposable plates and glass .

   Mtr Kenton branch is a must visit place.The staff here are very welcoming and friendly.The food is heaven and very authentic.Tried so many south Indian restaurants but food here is more scrumptious especially their signature dish benne masala dosa and pineapple kesari.Will visit again for sure

   THIS IS THEIR TAKEAWAY BRANCH, SO IT IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!! We stood outside for a while before realising and going to the one in Rayner's Park- which was incredible! Such good food!
