We were staying at Plas Isaf a few miles away and came here one evening. The restaurant is very impressive, modern, clean and welcoming. The staff were great. Very friendly and efficient. The menu is large with a huge range of choices. Lots of specialities and it’s great they offer the opportunity to choose your own curry by selecting a curry and a meat/veg ingredient which allows for lots of choice. As one of us is vegetarian it’s nice to see so many vegetarian options including the use of quorn. The paneer starter had huge chunks of paneer but unfortunately the sauce was too sweet. The prawn puri had a lovely flavour with big juicy prawns. I had a chicken shashlick which came sizzling with big chunks of chicken. My partners quorn curry was nice but the rogan josh sauce could have been hotter in both heat and spice. The peshwari nan was delicious, fresh and filled with coconut. The mushroom rice was tasty but could have been bigger. They have a wide choice of drinks with good value cocktails and wines. Finally the prices are reasonable for the quality on offer. We looked at their takeaway menu afterward and if staying nearby would order from here again as that has even more reasonably priced options.

Beautiful food. Thank you to the staff for allowing us to have gorgeous food when they weren’t far off from closing. Recommended by my parents and definitely worth it. Free parking on site, lovely staff, beautiful food. Looks nice from the outside and really lovely on the inside. No other photos apart from our selfie outside

Busy for a Monday - early evening. We were the first to arrive, and it quickly filled up. The food was good. The salmon portion was smaller than other indian restaurants ive tried. But it was served with a portion of mash. The curries all tasted good with accurate spice levels. The balti was quite oily so I would try something else next time

As Regulars at this restaurant I would highly recommend it to anyone in North Wales or the surrounding area. The menu choice is vast, the food exceptional quality, most importantly, the staff are friendly and attentive with the personal touch. Since our first visit many years ago now, I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. When greeted at the door by the manager, Jay, you are made to feel like part of the family. Little things that stick out turn the meal out into a night to remember, like the team remembering personal preference on the menu and the chef tweaking the meal to suit personal likes. The smile and handshake when you arrive and leave. Each waiter is ready to interact and get what you need without hanging around and waiting to whip away your plate (like they do in many other restaurants) Once sat, you can enjoy a night to remember, unhurried, with that extra special personal touch from the team. Of all the Indian restaurants I have visited throughout the UK, without a doubt, the Indian Lounge in Bodfari is the best. Five stars is not enough.

Great attentive staff service was let down by the food, it was very poor, what has happened to this restaurant ?, once serving great fresh curries, now they are serving up mediocre food, the lamb dish was I am sure frozen grisly lamb strips warmed through in the sauce, the samosas were cold in the middle and could have been bought in frozen items thrown into the frier and not cooked properly. To say I am appalled is an understatement, added to the fact that the entrance and car park should have been cleared instead of the death trap slippery ice surface it was, come on guys get your act together, go back to cooking proper fresh curries with proper ingredients. £10 worth of salt and grit would also make the car park and entrance safe to walk on.

Nice welcome, friendly staff. Reasonably priced at 14.99 for 3 course on a Sunday. Food was lovely however got my curry wrong asked for a Madras and got something else which when I told him, he argued his point that I never said a Madras when me and my friend recall saying it. That aside, enjoyed my visit, enjoyed the food and would go again but would make sure I got what I wanted.

Went there tonight it was a Sunday buffet menu . Food was delicious and had different dishes to our lovely local Indian. Onion bahjis were crisp and tasty as was my starter Benfal Jal Fry ( a new dish for us).main courses were so tasty too jalfrezi was hotter than we are use to but again tasty. My main was just scrumptious again both new dishes . Mine was minced lamb and chicken in a lovely sauce which was complimented by the soft bread. Decor was clean and tastefully done. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Will definitely come here again when we return. Can't understand it if you have complaints as nothing was too much trouble food very tasty and hot. Has to be good as it didn't stop on the takeaway side
