Always have a lovely take away from here service spot on and really nice staff … since it’s opened I have been going and not disappointed once
Ordered on Just Eat and the food is usually beautiful - it’s my go to Indian. However, on this occasion, the food arrived and lack of sauce and chicken left my mouth feeling both dry and disappointed. To pay £10.00+ to receive 4 pieces of chicken and little to no sauce, has left me rather sad, as they’re usually amazing. I hope they sort it out and make the Rogan Josh much saucier, full of that rich tomato base and add more chicken pieces next time ☺️
Be careful with place had to go back because food didn't taste right , they gave me another one however it didn't taste much better. Clearly not checking the food . Definitely going down hill. If you order from here I would taste it before dishing it out and be very careful.
Ordered a set menu for two. I was satisfied with the overall food quality but the delivery should have been more carefully made. As you can see from the photos, one of the curries leaked and got everywhere so some of it was wasted and left stain on my tablemats. All the fuss caused for cleaning and wiping was not the best experience when you wanted convenience from ordering takeaways. Delivery time: Spot on. I was impressed it was delivered as expected, unlike my previous experiences with other takeaway restaurants. Food: Substantial & mostly good Pilau rice & egg rice: lovely, freshly done. Mixed kebab: didn't like the lamb kebab very dry and a bit smelly Onion bhajis: 2 were okay, 1 was extremely greasy and burnt Poppadoms: smashed into small pieces tastes the same but you don't want to eat poppadoms with your spoon Chutneys: standard quality 4 pots with some salads Garlic naan: I love my naan and this one was unusually doughy. It looks well-cooked from its look so I don't know what was wrong. Saag aloo: nice and fresh Chicken tikka massala: Unsure they make their own as this was exactly the same taste and appearance as the one I ordered from another takeaway a while ago. As far as I know this did not look or taste like tikka massala, more like Korma with red colouring. Very sweet coconut taste. Lamb jalfrezi: delicious with a kick from fresh chillies which was my favourite. However, the lamb wasn't cooked long enough so still quite chewy.
Really bad service at this place and I definitely wouldn’t order again. I made an order to pick up and realised when getting home it wasn’t complete (no rice). Rang up to say and their attitude was terrible. Then when they tried to tell me I was partially to blame for their mistake that was enough to make me realise how shocking the service was. Avoid at all costs.
Tried Ocean for the 1st time. We ordered for delivery. The food was delivered very hot and fresh. It's safe to say we've not enjoyed an Indian takeaway this much in years. We would highly recommend. The portion sizes were great. Can't wait to try again and next time eat in the restaurant. Such a treat.
Second meal we have had and absolutely wonderful. Well cooked and no skimping on portion size. Staff happy to tell you about dishes with accurate descriptions. Very much looking forward to next visit and trying more of the menu
Collected our food as we live 5 mins away. Luke warm at best. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money on a very poor curry.
