   Excellent spot for a Sunday roast and a really tasty one. We were recommended to come here by our B&B host in Castleton. I had the roast beef and my boyfriend had roast lamb, which we added on extra carrots & parsnips, cheesy cauliflower and broccoli and red cabbage. All really tasty from the meat itself, bone marrow gravy, creamy mash and the sides were spot on too.

   Went to castleton for a holiday and was so bored of eating pub food so decided to try 1530. The building was constructed in 1530 hence the name. I went there with my partner to have some quality time. The service, food, wine pairing and atmosphere was just so good. They even have some vegetarian options and that was a win for me! 10/10 would visit again if I’m back in castleton!

   What a great Italian restaurant! Loved the dishes and our thanks to Esme and Alisha (hope I got the names right) for such friendly service even though the restaurant was fully booked. Highly recommended! August update, 2nd visit was just as good as the first. Great food and service.

   I had the spicy chicken pizza, garlic fries, herb potatoes, tried a slice of my friends lamb mince pizza and had a scoop of honeycomb ice cream. It was a strange decision to include pineapple on the pizza. I forgot to ask them to remove it so I had to pick it off. I did try it and it doesn't work in my opinion. Other than that the pizza was a good size and super hot and cheese. I didn't really detect the nduja and pork belly so maybe a touch sparse with the toppings. The lamb mince one was quite flavourful. The portion of fries was great and they were crisp and tasty. The potato portion was small and not really worth it. The ice cream was nice and gooey and I like the taste of the honey. No substantial chunks of honeycomb or anything but that's ok. The menu is a bit different to what I saw online. Overall we both paid around £22 each, so not a bad price. Best to reserve ahead.

   Best restaurant in town! Decent price for Michelin style cuisine! Awesome food and super friendly staff! Been there a few times, the only go to restaurant I’d pick when in Castleton! Great place for date night and family dinner :)

   Gorgeous restaurant in the heart of Castleton. The food and drinks were amazing with a variety of vegetarian and vegan options too. Would highly recommend. Only slight downside was that it was a bit cold inside.

   Romantic vibes and such great food. So many delicious vegan options, they’ve really taken care to ensure that the vegan food taste just as good, if not better, than the rest of the menu. I would definitely recommend the vegan gnocchi. It was recommended to me by another vegan in the restaurant!

   Well finally we have found another gem-1530 restaurant. An italian restaurant in a small english village…hmmmm…alright let’s try. AMAZING!!! Food menu very rich, food itself very fresh and tasty, polite staff, nice garden, delicious deserts and drink menu aswell good. We will definetely come back. Recommend

   The food here was extremely well prepared. The 4-cheese pizza was a spot-on, the chicken was cooked perfectly, the date pudding was delicious. Even the black coffee was well balanced. It was a nice surprise for us to eat at this restaurant during our visit to Castleton. This place worth the trip i took from my home town to London and from London to Castleton
