Enjoyed the beautiful setting, every bit of food and the company of my table immensely. A bit disappointed by the service though - the first course took ages to materialise and one of the servers had a surly attitude/ deneanour that was not what I'd normally expect at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Jamavar offers an elegant yet welcoming dining room, with stylish interiors, warm lighting and a relaxed buzz that feels ideal for both intimate dinners and small gatherings. The atmosphere feels luxurious without being stuffy, and the location in Mayfair makes the experience feel truly special from the moment you arrive. Service at Jamavar is polished and professional, and the team is attentive without being intrusive, happy to explain dishes and guide you through the menu. On our visit, Khadak Singh looked after us with exceptional care, ensuring we were comfortable throughout and that every detail of our meal was perfectly timed. Khadak Singh’s kind, personable manner made us feel truly looked after and added a personal touch to what was already an excellent dining experience. The restaurant host, Karishma, also genuinely elevated our evening with her warmth and professionalism. She welcomed us with a smile, checked in at just the right moments.

We ordered the lobster idli sambar and stone bass tikka for starters, followed by the laal Maas, and finally the pistachio milk cake for dessert. We also got cocktails to accompany the meal, the royal blush was my personal favourite. Service was personal and fast, and the ambience was unmatched. As for the food, I believe the Michelin star alone does not do the restaurant justice as Jamavar goes above and beyond with the flavours it puts on your plate

This place is gold, the food is beyond amazing, service is top notch and atmosphere is excellent. I took my friend out for his birthday, and Jamavar did not disappoint. The chicken croquettes were out of this world, And the garlic naan is to die for!! Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Our only concern is we don’t think we will enjoy Indian food anywhere else haha..

3/5 Stars overall 2 or even 1 star for service : Excellent Food, Disappointing Service Pace and repeated interuptions The ambience is lovely and the food is excellent, truly deserving of the Michelin star. However, the service significantly impacted our experience. We were repeatedly and annoyingly interrupted during our 7 pm business dinner by staff pressuring us to order the next course, citing the two-hour table limit. We knew this but then interrupting and not delivering was quite annoying. They were initially slow with drinks, but then aggressively rushed us through the meal, which felt unwelcome and unprofessional. Furthermore, the staff seemed disorganized: they missed one guest's starter and forgot my dessert totally, requiring multiple reminders. But still they kept saying "the table is booked for two hours sir" even after it was there fault to deliver correct orders... The restaurant was empty after 9.30 so not sure what they wanted...looked like the staff wanted to go home more than anything... Was wondering who would book a Michelin star restaurant after 9.30 pm (even they want a second round per table) if they want to enjoy a Michelin star experience... Bad service... The mango lassi wasnt great as well other food and desert especially the gajrela and the rasmalai were very tasty. Great food, but the inconsistent and rushed service needs immediate attention to match the quality of the cuisine and the price point.

Our first experience with Indian cuisine and this place definitely delivered! The service was impecable, the drinks were refreshing, and the food was full of flavor with every dish more delicious than the previous dish. Highly recommend a stop at this Michelin-starred restaurant!

Food was authentic and decor was well done (probably one of the best amongst the Indian Michelin * restaurants). Prawns and stone bass were surprisingly delicious - cooked to perfection with well complimented seasoning, sauces and sides. One star being docked mainly because the mains (butter chicken and kid goat) were nothing to wow about. I had better butter chicken at mom and pop shops that aren’t even close to being recommended by the Michelin guide. Otherwise service was decent and atmosphere was perfect for a weekend lunch. Still worth a visit if you’re around the area, if anything - for the amazing starters.

Came here upon the recommendation of a colleague that works nearby. The place looks absolutely stunning from the moment the curtain opens. The lavish decor helps set mood for what is going to be a delectable meal. The waiters are very helpful and will help guide you through the menu with relative ease. We came while the early bird special was still being offered (I believe before 630pm) and this provided us with the best value as we could sample everything on the menu with 3 people. The food was phenomenal, hands down some of the best Indian food I've had outside of India. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and family visiting London.

Unquestionably delicious food, but sadly they seemed more interested in fulfilling their Just Eat etc orders than dealing with their seated customers. We counted 20+ orders go out as we waited 50 minutes for our mains. Such a shame as if they'd nailed the service it would have been a great night.

We had the six course tasting menu. It lived up to its expectations of Indian food with modern presentation that clean and controlled. My fav was the crab and lamb chop. What I liked was the restaurant truly Indian staff vs. from greater South Asia (nothing against anyone, just adds to the authenticity of the place). Deepak was the restaurant manager at our time. Great service!
