Manthan completely changed the way I think about Indian food. Their £30 Festive Linner is incredible value — six well-executed dishes with Michelin-level finesse. The Ghati Masala Prawns and Buttermilk Chicken were standout starters, and the Tulsi Chicken Chop was beautifully grilled. Both mains were flavourful and comforting, especially with the dal, rice and paratha on the side. Service was warm, and the peacock-blue townhouse setting in Mayfair feels elegant without being pretentious. A fantastic spot for refined Indian dining at a very reasonable price.

I had a wonderful four-course lunch here today. Truly delicious vegetarian dishes, especially the aubergine! All the staff were so friendly and attentive, and made me feel very welcome and cared for. I enjoyed watching the team work so well together to produce such an excellent dining experience. I will definitely be back!

Really lovely restaurant with a delicate 4 course meals for lunch times!! I really loved the fish curry with rice as I can't handle too much spice! A good pick for those who like to start with milder Indian cuisine ! Staff were really attentive and worth the price ! 10/10 recommend xx

Best fine dining restaurant in London. Ofcourse the food was incredible, they wouldn’t have lasted this long in prime central London and have 3 other locations in central London, if the food was not the best. What stands Manthan (Maddox street) apart is the exceptional service. There are limited tables, on purpose, to maintain a moderate noise ambience and exclusivity feeling. The service is the best you will ever receive. On hand waiters aware of everything going on due to the exclusivity. Making sure your every culinary need is fulfilled. It was my wife’s birthday, many compliments were given when they didn’t need to. That’s the level of service provided. They even provided me support as it was raining heavily outside. The experience doesn’t end once your meal does. I now come monthly with friends and clients, as the lunch thali is second to none. Best Rahul

We came here for a special evening and it didn’t disappoint. We like to try indian fine dining and compare food quality, service and value for money. Manthan definitely delivered on all. As soon as you enter it gives you a wow factor, not too big but not too small. The service is class and they are very attentive. Food is served in good time and the quality of the food is amazing. We ordered some starters, mains and grills with mocktails and we liked everything we ordered. This is now a new favourite place to go to. Now for the price, we found this very reasonable given other places we have gone to and paid way more. Definitely value for money in respect to quality of food for the price. The chicken buttermilk is out of this world! We ordered pyaaz kachori, chicken buttermilk, lamb chops, chicken tikka masala, rice, paratha, desserts and sindhu mocktail. Since the original visit in sept-22 I have gone back in feb-23 and it still maintains its high quality. Around £61pp

Manthan is the best Indian fine dining restaurant in the city. It has the best authentic north Indian taste and the food here is absolutely delicious. They have really good drinks and desserts as well. The ambiance of the place is exquisite and a blend of modern and ancient architecture. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. The only negative thing about the restaurant is that it is too expensive, but definitely worth visiting at least once.

For a fine dining restaurant, I would say there is some room for improvement. Pros: Drinks and cocktails, quality of food and the menus in general Cons: Felt a bit too crowded to the point where you can hear adjacent conversations too well, tables a little small and overall the service could have been better. There is definitely tough competition in the area (and indeed on the same road), hence the 3 stars. Would recommend but as long as you know to expect the above.

We visited Manthan to have a team dinner and it did not disappoint. The manager suggested we had a mixture of starters and mains and the food was plentiful. Wow the flavours were amazing. Really enjoyed the chicken starters and lamb chops. Mains the lamb and chicken curry were great. The mock tails were great as well and my colleagues enjoyed their wine. The waiters were very attentive, polite and well knowledgeable on the history of curries. This was truly a gem to find in Mayfair ad the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend Manthan thanks
