   Have used Ruby Spice for over 25 years, simply put one of the best in Croydon. Every time we moved I made sure it was still able to Ruby Spice delivered to the door. Food is amazing and the staff friendly. Has an open kitchen so you can watch you food lovely been made in front of you. Unfortunately we have now move 150 miles away, but anytime I'm back in Thornton Heath I will be going straight to Ruby Spice to get a gorgeous curry.

   I ordered before they got my order wrong was very rude but food was nice. I collected that time as it was snowing.I said let me give a second go. I waited nearly 2 hours I called after 1.5 hour and asked how much longer please as you said an hour. he was so rude I couldn’t believe it he said I told you I had to do something you have to wait another 40mins. Then hanged up. I called back he said you keep asking so much questions delaying when all I asked how much longer please. Never will I ever order from here again. Really need to learn standard manners.

   Reliable local takeaway. Good value, no surprises. I normally stick to the classics and am rarely disappointed - lamb dishes, sag aloo, etc... great naans too.

   The most awful Indian I have ever eaten. Mushroom rice was pilau rice with burnt mushrooms that had been added on top. Chicken korma was swimming in a very waterey Korma sauce definitely not how a korma should look. Bhindi bhaji wasn't cooked through properly to the point the okra was still slimey and the whole container swimming in oil. Peshwari naan was extremely dry, cold and had a tiny sprinkle of coconut on one part of the bread on the edge. It may as well of been a plain naan. And the onion bhajis were so oily that the brown paper bag they came in was soaked and split when I picked it up. Never ever ever again!!!!

   The food is delicious. Delivery driver delightful. But oh my God... the manager is the rudest man ever. I ordered a delivery yesterday and paid by card. They took the payment twice. Rather than give me the cash they owed me when they delivered my food, I was told that they'll take the money off my next order. When I asked for the money instead I was told they didn't have any cash as they had just opened. I called my bank to cancel the second payment but they could only reverse the transaction as it was a visa card payment. The money was back in my account. The bank advised me to call Ruby Spice to let them know so they won't claim it. Which I did. This afternoon, I checked my account and could see Ruby Spice had claimed both payments. I called to ask if I could have cash back but he refused. Saying I could make another order. He also laughed and said its only £13 and that it's peanuts to him. He said I must call back in a couple of days. I'm so upset because he is a very difficult man to deal with. I will never, ever order anything from this place again.

   Have been ordering food with these guys for a couple years now and we are NEVER disappointed! The food always arrives hot, on time and is absolutely delicious. The staff are very polite both over the phone and in person. We honestly couldn’t suggest a better Indian takeaway.

   Fresh, hot, delicious, authentic, affordable not-greasy and simply the best okra (bhindi) I have ever had. I grew up in South East Asia, so had brilliant India food from an early age, and I put Ruby Spice in my top 3 in the world. It beats - for example - the Tiffin Room at Raffles in Singapore.

   We must have order at least 20 curries over the past 2 years and I can safely say that 19 of them were outstanding. Great variety, try the house specials...they are fantastic. Everything is cooked so well and the price is very reasonable. Having eaten in lots of curry houses across London, this takeaway is without doubt one of the best! Ps. Get the mushroom rice, you will be amazed!!! Matt
