Been coming here throughout the years through all different owners/chefs under the old name -and this chef now has been the best so far! Not greasy and amazing taste!
The Foods decent so I thought id try this place again after I said I never would because they made us wait 3 hours for delivery with no explanation, HOWEVER waited 2 hours this time,( its a 2 min journey) they leave the phone off the hook and still no explanation or apology. disappointing.
Ordinarily this place is really decent, but good god don't order on a really busy day like this (2 Fridays before Christmas). I ordered through Just Eat at 5pm for a 6.45 delivery, which was duly confirmed. Awesome. 7pm arrives and the app shows the order as delivered. I can't reach the restaurant by phone, so jump on chat with JE who were very accommodating. The restaurant claims the food will be with us in 20 mins.... This time passes and they refuse to give me any compensation on the current order, instead saying they'll give us 10% off our next order. Ha! Why would we order again? So we cancel it. To the restaurants credit, the food turned up at 7.30 and when I inform the delivery girl about what's been going on she calls the boss who says we can keep the food. Sadly the food was much worse than normal. Clearly rushed, not tasty, dry meats. Actually glad we didn't pay for it. Such a shame as they're normally so good.
We ordered take out. The delivery was quick. But, the food was so so sweet. And the veg kolhapuri we ordered had no other flavor except just being spicy. Will not order again.
Ordered via Uber Eats - as a treat. Ordered arrived partially complete. Called the takeaway and asked why this was, initial blame lay with me. Until till they realised a mistake was made on their part. Mistakes happen but it’s their poor attitude that had me compelled to write them a review. They advised further 10 minutes for the rest of the order to arrive, it came in 25 minutes. When it arrived, they got the order wrong on one of the main dishes. They did provide provide free condiments, but needless to say did very little to pursuade me to ever part with my cash with this place.
Taken over by new owners, I have been ordering from Mumbai express for years and I have had nothing but good, tasty meals. Close to home, very convenient and excellent service. The guys are so friendly and always attentive. Thanks for the great food!!! ✌
Food Stone Cold & Took over 1 1/2 hours to be delivered. The woman who took the order did not seem to know the food on the menu and could not calculate the bill, she then said the food would be there very soon. I live 10 minutes walk from the place. It too over 1 1/2 hours for the food to arrive and every time we called we were told the food was out for delivery. When the food eventually came it was stone cold. When we telephoned and spoke to someone called Maz he was rude on the telephone saying we had not waited that long. We asked him for a refund as we were not going to wait another hour and a half for another delivery. Maz then got angry and tried to accuse us of shouting at him, which we did not we remained calm and told him we did not need to shout as we were just going to review them on line. He then stated that he would give us a refund, if we never bother them again!!!. We are appalled at the lack of customers service skills, lies about orders and food inediable due to being so cold. We have been ordering from this place since they opened and were previously satisfied with the service. I do not know if they have changed management, but things have gone to the dogs. The last time we ordered they forgot our Naan bread too. We will never be ordering from them again!!!!
