   Fine until you try and return a pair of shoes. My mum and dad bought a pair for my boy. The shop assistant fitted them, put them on him. We went home. Once we took them off, and tried to put them on him the next day they were very tight, and will be unlikely to last him more than a few weeks. They cost £45. So, tried to take them back for an exchange half a size up. Was told no chance, “he’s warn them”. So we’d want you to bring him in so we can see they’re too small. I said, “he’s warn them home after you put them on his feet. That’s all.” They weren’t bothered. And I felt they just wanted to get rid of me. To be honest, they didn’t seem too bothered about speaking to me in the first place either. We’ve bought his last 4 pairs of shoes from Clark’s. A simple exchange is all I wanted, should have been done as a simple goodwill gesture to keep the business imho. It’s what I’d have done for my customers. Above all, I want them to come back. We’d have spent hundreds potentially thousands in there over the years given the prices. The simple solution is, I guess we go somewhere else from now on. Shame.

   My grandaughter was so upset she couldn’t find shoes she liked in her size but the two sales assistants that served us were FANTASTIC they showed her all the shoes in size 3 and were so patient she found her perfect shoes at last THANKYOU

   On the day of buying the 2 pairs of school shoes at the beginning of September they was good. Even explained that even if their feet grew within a certain time they will replace them, which seems amazing. Only when the velcro on one of the shoes by the end of February broke, clearly faulty. I called up an explained the situation, the lady quite sternly said that only if it is within 6 months of the date they was bought (it was that exact date) she said nothing can be done. Even if it was within 6 months she said only if your daughters feet havnt grown would we replace them anyway. So even though they are faulty they wouldn't change them. I find that really disappointing as I thought Clarks are made to last. But it seems they are only built to last for 6 months an only if your kids feet don't grow.

   It's been hard work getting shoes during the lockdown let down by other shops. Hannah in store here saved the day measuring our son properly dealing with a 2 yr old who not only can't stay still but she remained calm, friendly kept the little one reassured and sorted a great deal for us on shoes. Thank you Hannah hope your career takes you places you deserve to go, your people skills and customer service are top notch
