One of the best Chinese in brum. I don't live near but will gladly travel. Clean and fresh meals every time.
Usually good service, comes quicker than expected. Tonight we ordered, it said 45-60 minutes. Called the takeaway at 75 minutes as no sign, they were very abrupt on the phone and said it would be 15 minutes. Eventually arrived 90 minutes after ordering. Only good thing was that it was hot on arrival!
I traveled up from Somerset looking forward to a Fans takeaway and I must say I was so disappointed. The duck curry was full of fat, the sauce was tasteless, and the spring roll was bean sprouts and very little meat. So disappointed! Won’t go back there again.
Delivery time good wrong food asked us if they could owe us . Replacement spare ribs at£8.20 were awful over cooked. Won't be using again.
I usually order from fans house but the past year, the quality of food has gone down massively. I ordered the chicken fried rice as usual, and the Lemon Chicken which I’ve never had, so I asked what it was and they said “fried chicken with lemon” which i guess it is, but I thought it would be a little bit of lemon sauce with a bit of salt and pepper. Picture says it all. Swimming in sauce, so the batter was soggy, and the chicken was chewy (I threw it away before I took the pic). The chicken rice was fine and the delivery was very quick. Maybe too quick. Took the p*ss with that slice of lemon and the spring onion aswell.

Awful. 2 items missing when I got home. I know should have checked before leaving shop. Chicken fried rice was soggy boiled rice hardly any chicken in it. Chicken omelette not good. Shredded beef was the only decent thing. Used to use Fans a lot but not so much recently but that's it now no more.
Firstly, the online menu has different prices which is misleading. The food was not good quality, crispy duck not crispy at all and with soggy skin on, the wraps were all stuck together and became tough as soon as unpacked, so I presume they were overcooked in microwave, the battered chicken was uncooked in the middle and the egg fried rice had no flavour whatsoever and beef from black bean sauce was very chewy and lumpy and not nice to eat at all, presumably undercooked as well. Really dissatisfied, would never order from there again unfortunately.
Haven't been to Fans for ages, but I will be a regular again now, beautiful food tonight and the portions are huge! You won't be hungry after ordering from Fans, I had the chicken curry and it was amazing! Ignore the few bad reviews I've seen, those people have no taste!
