Food came straight away no need for a wait. The food came hot and fresh. The flavors make you feel wonderful. The atmosphere is nice.

I visited Mrs. Chew's Kitchen on Wednesday, and it was really good. The food was exceptional, full of rich flavours and comforting warmth, but what made the experience even more special was the service. I am not quite sure but I think her name was Ko Ko; her attentive service and that beautiful smile of hers made the evening feel almost magical. I will definitely come back, not only for the wonderful dishes, but because seeing her again is a joy I genuinely look forward to.

Ordered the boneless BBQ chicken thighs with rice and left disappointed. The chicken itself was okay, cooked fine, but the sauce was overly sweet (almost syrupy) and one-note. Vegetables were practically non-existent, just a few token pieces, definitely stingy. Service was distant; plates dropped off with barely a word and no check-back. This isn't worth the price or the calories. For the same money you can get much more balanced, generous, and flavorful BBQ chicken elsewhere.

I visited Mrs Chews in Birmingham expecting a halal meal, as advertised. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to list the ingredients of what's in your food, asking people's allergies after they've stuck an order in is unprofessional and advertising something as "chicken noodles" while serving it with different meats and vegetables is deceptive. After ordering what was supposed to be chicken noodles, I found several types of meat in the dish, including red meat that clearly didn’t look or taste like chicken. When I asked the staff, they denied it being anything other than chicken. Based on appearance and texture, I have strong reason to believe it was pork. If true, that’s a serious breach of trust and completely unacceptable for a restaurant claiming to serve halal food. Even if it wasn't pork. Don't lie to your customers? It's basic etiquette as a waiter to be honest. It is not a nice feeling to sit at restaurant eating something that isn't clear to you. The food was served cold, and a service charge was added to the bill before we were shown the total. The overall attitude of the staff member came across as dismissive and rude which basically helps confirm suspicions that we had been tricked. I’m writing this review so others, especially those who eat halal, can make an informed choice. I hope management takes this seriously; honesty and respect for customers’ dietary and ethical religious requirements are the bare minimum in hospitality. We will not be eating here again and I'll be raising this with the consumer agency to have this investigated.

Thoroughly enjoyed their chilli wontons and Roasted duck with rice. Note the duck is served with bone, so even though it is delicious, if you’re not used to bone with your meat, then order something else.

We were seated very quickly. Here you get menu at the table and order and pay at the counter. We found the menu to be quite small. The main food was generally tasty. And for the price we would probably return for a quick bite. The bao buns were a little too sweet for my liking. The food is brought out at different times and not in order with quite a wait. The noodles were sizzling hot however the rice dish was barely warm. In the noodle dish we found a few bits of chicken bone/cartilage which I guess is unavoidable but not pleasant. Overall this was a decent quick meal for the price paid.

I really enjoyed a speedy dinner at Mrs Chews Chinese Kitchen as I waited to catch a train from New Street. I had the “Spring Onion Noodle with Aromatic Crispy Tofu” which was a decent-sized bowl of green noodles tossed in a young onion sauce served with crispy tofu and soy-braised mushrooms. The noodles were chewy and flavoursome and the tofu really very good. Service was fast and friendly. Prices were fair and the atmosphere was nice enough for a busy spot. Was a nice, speedy meal!

Even after knowing its located in a very busy train station, I enjoyed the experience. There is wide seating area. The menu is shortlisted but gives fair choices. I chose chicken dish which comes with either noodles or rice. It was well cooked and quicklyserved. Staff are efficient. They have Halal food with many displayed certificates for it. Prices are moderate but worth the value for sure. It was a nice and refreshing stop before a long trip. I don't advise if you are looking for a fine dining or a family restaurant.

Way way way below average dining experience at Mrs Chew’s. Quality of food, not good. Quality of service, disappointing. Restaurant looks nice, prices are just about ok. I ordered roasted duck with rice and sweet and sour chicken with Noodles. Almost inedible roasted duck. Didn’t feel like fully done. Couldnt finish the meal despite me trying and despite portion size not being generous at all. Sweet and sour chicken lacking flavours. No option for decent juices. No good option for dessert. Never again. Not recommended.

Excellent restaurant. We ordered classic noodles and fried rice all with chicken besides soup. We got student discount. The food tasted great and the service was good as well. Will come back again for sure.
