   Disappointing. We had high hopes of this Thai restaurant. Unfortunately the chicken was cooked dry and hard. It was the same in all dishes. We had the most expensive set B menu. Everything had a chinese twist, not real thai. The pad thai noodles were also too hard and lacked spices. When we commented on the chicken she would pass it on to the manager. But she did not came back. When we asked again it was because chicken breast is used. There was no making up or anything for this. Only the pinot grigio from Italy was worth it. In total 2 persons paid 85 pounds..... Would not recommend this Thai restaurant

   We went to St Albans today to try a Thai restaurant called Thai Rack for the first time, as it had good reviews on Google and we thought it was worth a try. The place has that typical Thai restaurant feel, and it was nice to see that the staff seemed to be originally from Thailand, which added to the authenticity. It gave off more of a family-run vibe, which we liked. The décor wasn’t the most modern or stylish—it felt a bit dated—but we weren’t there for the interior design, we were there for the food. When we arrived, the staff were very friendly and attentive, and we were offered a menu with a couple of set options. We noticed that the prices were actually cheaper than what you’d usually expect at a Thai restaurant. The starters were okay—nothing special—but the main dishes were better. We ordered a green Thai curry and a Pad Thai. Both tasted good and the ingredients seemed fresh, although the portion sizes were a bit smaller than we expected. You could tell the starters were more pre-made, while the mains felt fresher. Overall, it’s not a standout restaurant, but it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for a casual Thai meal. The service was lovely, the food was fresh, and the location is also great—George Street is a lovely cobbled road with a lot of character, surrounded by beautiful Tudor buildings.

   Very friendly restaurant with great tasting food. Originally we went past as we thought the place was empty but everyone was eating in the beautiful garden at the back.We will definitely return when we are back in St Albans. We the £28 set menu which was very filling.

   Food was very nice, prawn satay, massaman curry and a nutty chicken coconut special. All very tasty. Service wasn't great but pleasant, they actually reminded my girlfriends plate while she was still eating, but left mine, when I had finished, without asking. I think Rhett get a little flustered when busy. Nice place, albeit a little sterile.. didn't get to see the garden but probably will next year when the weather picks up

   Amazing place, highly recommended! We had a superb experience - the food was delicious! We missed Thai omelette and although it’s not on the menu, the restaurant was very kind to accommodate. It’s hard to call out one thing on the menu because most if not all are outstanding. The staff are very friendly and warm too. We’d definitely be back again soon!

   A very nice and authentic Thai restaurant. Really enjoyed everything we had. To remove choice, there are set menus to go for. We went for one that had crispy duck as an appetiser, a chicken yellow curry, two stir fry dishes and a fried sweet and sour prawn dish, and two sides (pad Thai and egg fried rice) plus a dessert. All for £27 each so well worth it I think. Most dishes were lovely. The prawn dish was a little tooo sweet for me, quite honey tasting which is not a personal preference of mine but everything else great. They also do an amazing chilli oil which I wish I could take home. Great place overall and would go again

   Lovely little Thai restaurant on high street in St Albans close to the cathedral. Justifiably popular. Do book a table. Excellent food, great choice including vegetarian dishes, complementary crackers. Prawns were fresh and beautifully cooked. The sauce was delicately flavoured and noodles perfectly cooked. Portions were generous. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely visit again!

   Delicious authentic Thai food. From what I can tell I think it is a family owned restaurant. Whatever the case the ingredients are all very fresh, the staff are friendly and the dishes are delicious. You can either order multiple dishes to share amongst the table or you can each other a single portion of a dish and eat just what you like that way. Their star ingredient though is definitely prawn, they cook their prawns to perfection and full of flavour. Have been coming here for years and have yet to be disappointed. While often you can just come as a walk-in customer, I do recommend booking in advance to be sure you will have a table. Especially in weekend they can get busy and you won't always be able to get a table without reservation.

   Came here for the first time last night and was very impressed. Food was amazing and so reasonably priced (and the beer was cheap too!). Staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The garden looks cute with cathedral views (unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside last night but would be incredible on a sunny day). Will definitely be coming back.

   My wife and I have been exploring the area and this was our first restaurant experience at St Alban's. Firstly, the food is halal and were cooked fresh. Secondly, the rear garden was cute and a romantic spot to spend with your partner.
