Giggling Squid restaurants are always really cute, and every branch I’ve been to has had a lovely atmosphere. This visit was no different in terms of vibe, but the food itself was just okay—not amazing. We tried the salmon Panang curry, which didn’t really hit the spot, and the Fisherman’s Feast was good, though the crab was a bit too oily for my liking. Our order was taken incorrectly at first, so we had to wait a little longer, but they gave us prawn crackers on the house, which was a nice gesture. After that, Alexis took over serving us, and she was incredibly friendly, we even ended up chatting about Gilmore Girls. There’s parking nearby at the Rose Theatre car park, and the bill wasn’t too bad. If you work for the NHS, you can also get a discount here, which is a great perk. Overall, a pleasant experience, even if the food wasn’t the best this time.

Had the best restaurant experience ever at the Kingston Giggling Squid! The food was utter perfection, every dish exploding with fragrance and flavour, and the atmosphere was just lovely. All staff were fantastic but it was our waitress Alexis who really made the evening a success. She was so attentive and helpful and polite and friendly, and was more than happy to assist when we asked for a bit of extra sauce or help understanding the menu. The best thing was that she recalled overhearing that it was our son’s birthday (we mentioned it in passing early on in the evening) and then found a way to discretely arrange for him to have a surprise birthday dessert at the end, which absolutely made his evening. Honestly, the food at a Giggling Squid will always be great, but it’s interpersonal experiences like this, where a member of staff goes above and beyond, that make the evening so incredibly happy and memorable. Thank you so much Alexis!

Absolutely loved it here! The food was full of flavour and beautifully presented, our dishes tasted freshly made. Alexis served us and was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. One of the best Thai dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

The restaurant had some very very pretty areas but we were round the back in a more plain location. The food was good but both my starter and main course were a little cold. The rest of my party said there food was hot so I was just a little unlucky but I still enjoyed the food which was of a high quality. The waitress Alexis was outstanding. Her knowledge of the menu was incredible and she took delight in sharing it with us to help us choose what we wanted. She gave us the option of trying new things we normally wouldn’t have because of her ability to describe everything in full. She was attentive and had a lovely personality we warmed too. Best part of the evening.

I went to Giggling Squid – Kingston upon Thames for my birthday. It wasn’t busy as it was a weekday, and I absolutely loved it! The staff were so polite, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was calm with beautiful décor — lovely colours, chandeliers, and paintings. Everything was very clean and stylish, including the toilets. The seafood dishes were delicious, and although I had the lamb shank which wasn’t my favourite, it was still tasty. Perfect place for nice birthday photos and a great dining experience!

Lovely restaurant for a friend birthday party. Able to have a table with all guests seated together rather than spread out. Great drinks menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Good menu was well thought out with the theme of water, land etc and the waiting staff were on hand to respond to any queries should you have any. We were told before ordering what main meals were not available however for the dessert we were told which dessert were available and it was only 3 so no one had any as there was the birthday cake to share round anyway. One thing however was that we were allocated a time slot with some 15mins grace for clearing up and preparing the table for the next party.

Fantastic food and cocktails, and the staff are so kind and friendly! The venue is a lot bigger than I initially though from the street, but inside is a beautiful atmosphere and I'm so grateful for the detailed menu. As someone who hates spicy food, the menu clearly mentions which food is spicy and if there are chilies included in the dish. Excellent presentation too!

Awesome. Just awesome. I’ve been to Thailand a few years ago and since then, I was trying to find the same amazing taste of food. It’s not so easy in Europe, but I’ve found finally. Giggling Squid is the best Thai restaurant I found in London. The food is just amazing and I strongly recommend to visit it if you wish to feel the same culinary emotions as in Thailand or to just to eat something delicious. Thank you very much, Giggling Squid. We’ll visit you again very soon.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday with my sister. We ordered from the lunchtime tapas menu. There was a great variety on offer. Our food was delivered very quickly, was piping hot and fresh. The host and waiters were all friendly and polite. Service was excellent. Highlights were the salt and pepper squid, pork dumplings and Phuket mussels.

Upon coming in it is such a good looking and atmospheric restaurant. Its large, got pretty decoration and tables for intimate dates and large groups. There are lots more food options when in the restaurant then compared to take away. Giggling squid had, in my opinion, a good option of appetiser, mains and cocktails to choose from. From my experience here it was not not great and there were some issues such as long wait to get our order taken. Unfortunately the night we were there they were understaffed which I'm keeping in mind. I still felt as though the food was mediocre and same with the cocktails. For it being such a high bill per person I'd wish we got a little bit more out of our money. The toilets is a few flight of stairs up, and I'm not so sure but I did not see a handicap toilet on the ground floor. It might be one there, but I'm just thinking about wheelchair accessible toilet
