Been going to Diamond City for years and love the food. Never had a bad meal. Staff are amazing. When they have been away on holiday and we tried other places, nothing compares to them. Chicken chow mein is bloody delicious and in my opinion they do the best Barbecue sauce..
Absolutely incredible food. The salt and pepper range is fantastic are is the chow mein and crispy chilli dishes. We loved the curry sauce until we tried the satay sauce… unreal! We always collect and is always ready within 20 minutes which is ideal.
The best Chicken balls in Askern...don't believe what others say on neighbouring chicken balls...they are too dry or undercooked...not like diamond city...crispy hot, I prefer the gravy to the sweet and sour, but the s&s is nice. s&s chicken balls Roast duck and cashews
Wasn’t going to put anything but think you need to know. I’d ordered £25 worth of food. The chicken in the sweet chilli n garlic sauce was like eating jelly , the special curry was bland the beef and chicken in that was like jelly. The spring roll was unevenly cooked and the outer casing was soggy, noodles tasted very Smokey. We won’t be ordering again.
Having ordered from many different Chinese takeaways in the past for many years, I have to say that this is the worst one I've ever had. We ordered the 'Roast Duck with Ginger & Spring Onions', 'Capital Spare Ribs' and also two portions of chips (one salt and pepper, and the other regular). The total cost came to £17.10, including delivery to Norton. I was told on the phone after placing my order that it could take up to 50 minutes for delivery, but it took 15 minutes longer than that. It was Saturday night though, which is usually busy so I didn't really mind that. The food however wasn't great at all! Everybody took one chip, and said 'they are horrible', like they have been recooked after sitting around for a week and taste really stale. The salt and pepper ones hardly had any taste of salt and pepper to them at all. Nobody was that much more impressed with the duck either, so I tried some and it was very soggy and tasteless, so very poor quality for duck. Unfortunately the same applied to the spare ribs too. The sauces that the meat was in (captial and ginger) wasn't too good either as they had very little taste to them. So overall, nobody in particular enjoyed their food. It most certainly was not worth the £17.10 that we paid. The only good thing I can point out was that they were quite polite on the phone, but that does not fix the fact that the quality of the food was very poor for a Chinese takeaway (or even any takeaway in general). Because of this experience, I would not recommend ordering from here. There are many other Chinese takeaways in the surrounding areas that offer much better food.
Some of the best Chinese food I've had. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They even let us order 15 mins before closing time. They have a great, professional manner. Generous portions, great tasting, quality food. Good delivery and take away option. Great vegetarian options. The chips is amazing. Best chinese around.
