We dined at Patara Thai on Maddox Street and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, though slightly on the expensive side. Our server, Cleo, was exceptionally attentive and kind—her service was outstanding. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning.
Food- quality has gone down with time. We ordered 1- spring rolls chef special was just average 2- pork and prawn dim sum was quite disappointing 3- soft shell crab oad thai- just average almost tasteless 4- chicken masaman curry disappointing 5- pineapple cocktail had a good presentation but barely anything inside the pineapple shaped glass. 6- banana and ice cream dessert again was very average, something I can even make at home with no fuss. Overall the food was disappointing in flavours and the ambience looked shabby/ plates were low quality/ toilets needed cleaning. We used to love going here around a year back to the hampstead branch, which closed recently. However this was my last visit to this place. Won’t return again as it’s not worth the time and money spent
We love the drinks and desserts. The lady staff is extremely considerate. The food is ok, at least good value for the price.
Very weak Thai tea — little flavor and too much sugar. A tiny portion of soup without noodles. The best thing were the spring rolls. Som tam was average. Overall rating: 3.
I ordered the Chuck Eye, Beef Balls and Braised Chicken. My fave was the Chuck Eye, it was tender and the broth was so delicious and full of flavour. I ordered some Pork Crackling which was just crunchy and crispy, the perfect side to go with the Noodles. I also managed to try the Lobster Khao Soi, the broth was so creamy and the Lobster was just perfect.
Great meal in a cozy and inviting space and warm service even post 9 pm when restaurants around are starting to shut down. 2 mins walk from Oxford street tube station, this was a perfect find for hot and flavourful food on a cool autumn night. Scallops, Red curry and rice, chili basil noodles were all excellent.
A nice fine dine restaurant to try Thai food whilst shopping near Oxford street / regents street, location is very accessible just a few metres away from Oxford street tube station. They have set lunch menus for a starter and mains for 16-17£ , service was okay, food was alright, can give a try if nearby.
27th March 2022 7.30pm booking for mothers day. Melvins service was excellent. The food was excellent. My experience was excellent. The restaurant is very clean and the food is amazing. Cannot fault it and will return.
Great vibe on the first instance entering the restaurant. A East meets West decoration to give the traditional Thailand vibe and a touch of Western approach. A great menu, from starters to main and good vegetarian option also. Really enjoyed my lunch there today and a wonderful experience from the employees there
